Best WLM Reviews
After I’ve now visited this place 3x since Grand Opening! I wanted to give it a chance to show its consistency before leaving a review. I’ve lived in North Everett for 5+ years, I remember when this place originally opened but it wasn’t ever that inviting to come in. After the renovations and a NEW owner, I was intrigued! Dining in is a casual vibe, great music, and well designed atmosphere. Everything on the menu has been updated with a new twist! Every time me and my boyfriend come in were are warmly welcomed by Alfonso (the man in charge). He takes his time to educate you on the new menu items and if you’re ever indecisive, or curious with something on the menu he always does his best to help you. He let us try a sauce before I made my decision on a chicken burger & it was very helpful for me. My go-to favorite is the Nashville Hot Chicken Burger with Tater Tots. I guarantee you that you won’t find tater tot’s like his anywhere else!! They’re zingy and crunchy. The chicken burger is juicy and truly FINGER LICKIN’ GOOD! There is a mini bar available to grab a cocktail or your favorite draft beer with your meal. Alfonso did express that his business will be open LATE when there are events and concerts happening at the Angel of The Winds Arena, which is amazing considering there isn’t a lot of late night spots in the area. Overall, this place is one to consider if you’re ever in Downtown Everett and I will continue to make this one of my top dining out choices!
This is a little quiet place we found while visiting Everett. We ordered the grilled cheese and chicken sandwich and a chicken salad. Everything was good but the salad (with their house dressing) was the highlight of this visit. We received the friendly service ❤️
The chicken tenders were a huge disappointment. They were dry and flavorless, lacking any real taste or seasoning. It was like eating cardboard. On top of that, they actually gave us a fork and knife to eat this overpriced tiny portion size. I would not recommend them to anyone. Save your money and avoid the chicken tenders at all costs.
I can be picky about my fried chicken and I was super happy with That Chicken Place. I got the chicken tenders and fries with a variety of sauces to try. Sauces are great, you can tell they're homemade and the sauce containers are quite large. The fries taste freshly cut and the chicken is great quality! My order was ready in 10 minutes from when I called it in. Despite how the surrounding road/sidewalk area may look where it's located, the inside was super cute and very clean. They have a nice bar and great indoor booths. I'll definitely dine-in next time.
Really good food. The fries have a vinegary spice that's really delicious, and the buffalo sandwich gets a thumbs up from the whole house. Not a lot of seating, but it wasn't too crowded. It seems like a lot of takeout happens, so we didn't have to wait to sit. We'll be back.
It doesn't say "Hot" anywhere near the Nashville Chicken. Don't know if the servers were trying to prank us but the amount of sauce we got on the Nashville Chicken was insane. The spice was so hot it was barely edible. Why doesn't it say spicy next to it on the menu?? It's like they put a whole Carolina Reaper into the sauce for 3 tenders! The chicken itself was good which is why I'm not giving a 1 star. Give me a free meal and I'll take this down.
‘That disappointment’. Overall this place was a three, carried by its design, marketing, and slightly above average food. Customer service was terrible, Alfonso, or the gentlemen upfront didn’t look like he loved or even wanted to be there anymore. For example when asking about the menu he simply pointed at it without explaining anything only to notice I asked what he recommended and not just the menu. He also short me at first with my cash but fixed It and kept the change. Maybe I caught the guy on a bad day or something, vibe definitely wasn’t it, but luckily I came for the food. Pricing of the food when it came down to it was 15.00 for the chicken and fries, 15.00 for the burger and fries, 12.00 for the alcoholic drink, and 4-6.00ea for a Medio Litro and Vitamin Water drink, as I wasn’t offered my receipt, which has happened at other places and I’m not sure if it’s just a thing not to give receipts automatically anymore but I didn’t mention anything. The design was appealing and even welcoming, somewhere i’d consider seating in. When asking about the individual items come to find out all the sauces on the wings aren’t available for chicken tenders as a dip, only ranch and bleu cheese which I found odd, no? Gentlemen also made a comment about the price like we’re about to find out why, which is the only time I saw anything of a positive expression from him, it did make me curious though, eager to try it even. Now this is the only time I’ve ever done a review, I’ve felt many places deserve a good one but with all the factors in my experience here I planned to keep it that way if the food was worth every cent. Nicely seasoned, maybe, maybe just a bit too salty for me, crispy chicken, a little rubbery like maybe this chicken was frozen or kept just frozen enough to be slapped in the fryer and cooked within the 5-10 minute wait, soft fries but small portions. The alcoholic drink was absolutely not worth it, half filled with ice and tasted like it was possibly watered down, not even enough alcohol to make me instantly be like yea that’s alcohol, not that there might be something wrong with it lol. The chicken burger was the Nashville which was supposed to be hot but was relatively similar to regular homemade chili. Overall it wasn’t terrible, I might come back here if someone I know was interested in it, personally not by myself but i’d also have to be in a good mood and prepared to have the same experience. Out the door it was 55.00 ish and 43.00 ish without the alcoholic drink. Great concept, great marketing, room for improvement.
Really love going here and have made it a regular rotation on my lunch schedule! The food is fresh and delicious, the sauces are unique and flavorful, and the owners are quite sweet and clearly care about not only the quality of your food but your experience as well. I typically order the Nashville chicken sandwich with the sauce on the side (but only because the sauce can be quite hot and I sometimes need a breather). The tater tots are crisp and perfect dipped in the mango habanero salsa. The chicken tenders are huge pieces of chicken, so if you are looking for those thin processed pieces you get elsewhere you will be surprised. I highly recommend this place and will continue to go back regularly!
