What a disappointment. I had been having issues with the idling with my car, sometimes completely dying. After filling up with gas on a Saturday, my car wouldn't start at all so I called this auto shop and asked if I could have it towed there to have it looked at and he said I could. When I got there, right off the bat, the guy who was working at the front was so unfriendly and unpleasant. He didn't even really care to hear the issues I was having with the car but since I just wanted my car fixed, I left and waited to hear from them. It wasn't long and this is what the clown told me... he checked the fluids and the oil is low but the car is fine and the fluid levels are fine. The fluids are fine?! What a joke! I told him it sounds like he doesn't want to work on my car. When I went to pick it up, he handed me my keys with no charge because well, the fluids were fine so nothing to worry about. What a shame they keep this idiot employed knowing how he treats customers.
I've been coming here for years, even after I moved 20 minutes further away. They seem to be honest and frequently don't charge for inspections or don't recommend services that aren't needed.
I had been taking my car here for oil changes for about a year now and was happy with the price and service I received as well for additional fixes. So much so that I recommended my friends and family to this shop, but unfortunately after an unexpected (unrelated) repair was needed in my girlfriend’s car, she had it taken to her uncle’s shop, and they informed us that whoever had done her oil change (Thanh’s Auto Services) had likely used recycled oil, AND oil was leaking from her car. Keep in mind, she had gotten that oil change no more than three months prior. So for that reason, we unfortunately will be looking somewhere else for auto repair services.

The car was my girlfriend’s and I can only describe what was told to us from her uncle’s mechanic, and what we in turn had to pay for as a result. I would not assume the quality of oil would have caused a leakage. Thank you for the response nonetheless.
Let me know preface this by saying I've been coming here for roughly 5 years and I was always able to tolerate the attitude coming from the guy working the front desk but I won't be coming back after today. This guy always acts like someone is forcing him to work there and usually his bad attitude is tolerable but today he was in an awful mood and decides to talk down to me like I'm an idiot. Bro it's not my fault you are busy and there's no parking. All I did was ask if he accommodate me and he went off on me like I was a crazy idiot. I would've waited the 90 mins for an oil change but apparently it's a crime to show up here when it's busy. The guys who do the actual work are awesome and they are always super nice and respectful but the guy working the front is the worst.
Thanh's used to be my go-to for auto repairs and I highly recommended them to family and friends, until recently. I came in for some issues with my power steering system, three years after I got it replaced by them, and bumping noises near on the front driver side. Got there at 11am and they didn't look at my car until 4pm. I explicitly asked the front desk guy to check the struts, even asked him if I needed to write a note to have it checked and he said no, and when I got a call back they said they hadn't checked it because it wasn't requested...what the heck! So I had to wait another hour or so and they concluded that I would have to, at a minimum, replace my entire power steering system again and both struts. As extras, they recommended replacing the control arm as well, totaling $2000. Since it was the end of the day they told me to call them back the week after the holidays and let them know when I'm coming in for repairs. Fast forward to the week after holidays, I called them two different days, right when they opened, and they said they were too busy to take my car in. At that point, I don't think they wanted to deal with my car so I went elsewhere to get a second opinion. H & J Auto checked my car and said I only needed to replace o-ring in the power steering system since the system was brand new and both struts (minus the control arm) totaling $680. H & J was very friendly, professional, and affordable. Based on their customer service, I won't be returning to Thanh's any time soon and would not recommend them.
They’re very quick, professional, and let me know if I needed any replacements for any work done on my car. Price is reasonable as well! Definitely recommend and will come again.
Truly an honest mechanic. Finally tumor free and able to drive, I brought in my Lexus ES 350 after it sat for a long, long time. I was afraid of being taken advantage of, as I had experienced with previous mechanics with this exact car, but the report was incredibly honest with my car being in great shape for the time it sat! The only major issue was a dead battery, which they made sure I knew was still under warranty and could be replaced for free by AAA, they even let AAA come to their parking lot. Thank you Thanh auto repair for your honest work!
All that said, if you plan on coming, know these guys are popular and busy! The parking lot is full and the waiting room was always busy. The only complaint of service is that they did not put air in the tires of my car, which I know is standard at other mechanics, but I'm getting nit-picky, as otherwise service was great!
Thanh Auto is honest and so hardworking. They rendered two services for me - 1) Transmission replacement; and 2) Helped me when my car was lagging while driving slowly when the engine check light was illuminated.
As it pertains to the transmission replacement, I was processing a claim form for refund from my the car dealer. They were so nice (Shoutout to Stewart!) in not only adding the diagnostic code to my invoice when it was requested by the dealer, but also emailing me a copy of the invoice.
They are super honest workers and NICE.
