Thai fried rice mild was really good. It had flavor and spice. The first time we ordered here, we placed our typical order for medium spice which was very hot and I couldn’t even eat my meal. The second time we said mild spice and this was like medium from Mali Thai or other Thai places.
Lacking a good breakfast to start my day, I was quite hungry. I ordered shrimp fresh rolls, wonton soup, and Thai fried rice with chicken to feed my now audible belly. Bill totaled $23 and change. Was told it would be ready in 10 minutes and it was. Woman working was very pleasant and offered a to go menu as I was paying. I asked about the OG Thai spoon location(with this aptly named Thai Spoon 2) and wouldn’t you know, it is a mile from my place of employment in Ann Arbor - who knew?
Anyways, about the food. It was good. Damn good. The fresh rolls were terrific and huge! Came with two in an order.
Wonton soup had a great flavor and for a single serving had plentiful dumplings for my liking. The Thai fried rice, medium spice level, was hot both temperature and in its flavor profile. Lots of carrots, peas and onions to accompany. Plenty of protein - in my case chicken.
I was only able to eat 1/2 of everything and was satisfied completely. Myself and my now muted belly watched football the remainder of the day contemplating eating the leftovers at every commercial break.
I was actually surprised. Besides paying the taxes and delivery fee. The prices for the taste of food was really good. I had no issues and it was prepared immediately after ordering and still hot on arrival.
Satay chicken was surly from yesterday. Got two tiny shrimp in my soup. The curry was way too sweet, and only 3 pieces of meat. Not going back

First off we had enjoyed the previous Thai restaurant for over 10 years...it was my husband's favorite Thai place and he is very picky. Someone told us the same cooks are still there so we felt pretty confident we would have a good experience. My husband's favorite dish is pork pad Thai but he was disappointed to find that pork is no longer an option. We also ordered Tom Yum soup which was good but missing something from the soup the previous restaurant served. I used to get the crispy Siam rolls but those are also no longer on the menu so I tried the ones they did have and although quite different they were still good. They were basically a nice piece of chicken wrapped in a roll. So there are certainly differences and the food was good but the worst of it for me is that unfortunately there was some hidden gluten in something I ate and I have been paying for that ever since with gut and headaches issues for the past 48 hours. I had a hard time communicating my concerns about gluten to the waitress but since I had never had a gluten reaction with the previous restaurant's food, I went ahead and ate without too much concern. My bad, but a word of caution to those who deal with gluten intolerance... you might want to choose another place to eat. My daughter also told me that she had a gluten reaction to their drunken noodle dish as well.
First time ordering since they changed ownership. Everyone was very friendly and it looks the same inside as it did before, big space and clean. I ordered drunken noodles and got my typical medium and the spice level was insane. I tried to still eat it but the spice level seemed closer to full strength. Next time I’ll do mild or no spice. The wonton soup was very good. I’d like to give them another chance
I really don't want to leave a poor review. Mali Thai was one of our favorite restaurants for Friday carryout but this new place is not up to par. Hopefully they make more of an effort to improve thier product. The staff was very nice and my order was prepared quickly but our noodles were way over cooked and it seemed as if it had been cooking for a while. The spicy chicken was similar to something you could get at a gas station. Unfortunately we just scrapped it and had a frozen pizza. Really disappointed.
