We go to Destin, Florida, every year to fish at the Okaloosa Island Pier. When we are there, we are always looking for Asian food, especially Lao or Thai food. Finally, after trying some not authentic Thai, we found our go-to spot thanks to our friends.
Thai Spice is not fancy by any means at all. It looks like a hole in the wall inside. It is homey. In fact, it could use some interior updates. However, don't let the interior fool you. The food is the best Thai/Lao food in the area!
The service is good but not spectacular. The servers are efficient and they do their job but they are not attentive. If you need something, just signal them.
I have always drove passed but never came in. Today was the first time sitting down inside and ordering food. Walked in and was greeted. You can sit anywhere you want. Keep in mind this place is a Restaurant and a Bar/lounge place as well. You have pool tables and bar area you can sit as well. There are tons of seating area. I wouldn't say that Thai Spice is a kid friendly place but they do not have a kids menu. I did have my daughter with me and I was comfortable being there with my daughter. I ordered food and it was great. If you don't like spicy ????️ food I recommend you getting "Mild" when ordering food.... Overall, Thai Spice food is great and service was great as well.
I recently purchased the fried wonton which on the menu stated fried wonton with cream cheese. However I realized this was not the case as I found crab meat inside. I do not eat any form of seafood and was shocked this was not disclosed on the menu prior to purchase. I contacted the restaurant and was asked if I was allergic. No form of apology or anything for the inconvenience to me. I am very disappointed in the service that i received
It was convenient for having the kitchen open until 10:45pm. Food was decent and priced fair. The staff was friendly and courteous. Music was vibing even tho it felt a bit loud. The bar selection looked good but didn't get any drinks.
When we walked into the restaurant there was a party going on and the receptionist have 0 interest to take the order, another lady took our order and we were like ok fine some took our order. We ordered Thai hot, to be honest, we have tried Thai hot in many other places and we could eat that spice since we are Indians but this restaurant has mixed the chilies sauce in that and it has no taste to it. It’s just super super hot like when you hate someone. All 4 orders were like that. I would recommend this to no one in this restaurant. we are just trashing all our food just like that, we were disappointed by the food and they made $50 from us just like that. By the time I post this review, it's morning here and I took these pictures around 9 am, I don't know if the chef has really tasted this food or they were frustrated by us and just mixed the chilies
Not busy on Holiday but only three tables, more bar than restaurant, alcohol and pool tables.

Tried a new dish today that was recommended by the waitress and I was very impressed.
This was a VERY good place! Employees were amazing and the food was oh soooooo good!!! I would definitely eat here again if I am ever in the area!
