We ordered a pick up in the evening and when we came to pick up the food, no one was there. We had to follow up with them for 30 minutes until we received the food. We ordered 6 Oz steak and a burger, and both were really bad. I ordered a medium for the steak and received a well done. It looked like leftovers and not an actual dish. We also didn't receive the rolls and butter.
Very disappointing.
The steaks are amazing. This time around I had beef tips. It would be five stars but there is a long wait. The hostess told us they were short on servers. It makes me think they don't pay enough or the work environment is not good. Can't beat their steaks though!
Our server, Cody was excellent and had a great personality! And the food was delicious!
Food came fast, drinks refilled without having to ask and cute atmosphere. Cant wait to go back and get some more of them rolls.
Don't forget to ask for your peanuts! They don't do buckets anymore, but they will bring you a bag.
Had to wait about 20 minutes for a seat, no big deal. They take your number and text you. Received the text, go to the counter and told to sit back down. Did so and then waited another 5 minutes.
When we were seated, the bench was wet but didn't realize it until I could feel it through my pants.
We got a menu while we waited and knew what we wanted to order by the time we were seated. Waitress showed up fairly quickly and took our drink order, brought them back and took food order. We ordered a cactus bloom (brought to the table from someone other than our waitress), it came out quickly, it was COLD, the bowl was hot but there was no way that it was just made. Waited and waited and waited for our waitress to come around to let her know and send it back (I'm telling you it was COLD), waited about 10 mins and decided to just eat it! Waitress showed up and asked if we were done with it, less than 1/2 eaten. I told her it was COLD when we got it and we wanted to send it back for a hot one but she didn't come by to let her know. She simply took the bowl and said she'd let "let them know in the back".
Food arrived delivered by someone other than our waitress.
Steak, baked potato and corn. Steak was cooked to medium for the most part, one half was well done and one was medium, but it was ok, smothered in mushrooms.
Chicken Critter Salad no bacon:
COLD chicken, just like the onion the chicken was cold. I assume it sat while waiting on the steak. I actually checked the time for this one, and waited 23 minutes until we saw the waitress again. By then I pushed the chicken to the side of my salad and just ate the salad part. If it was baked chicken and not crispy I wouldn't have minded. Bu the time we saw our waitress the steak meal was just about gone and half the salad was eaten, waiting on a take out container.
Waitress showed up and said "didn't you like your salad" and I again told her the food was cold but she didn't come back to check.
I also flagged down a different waiter to get our waters refilled.
So who get the tip - I hope they split it? Hostess seated us. The waitress took our order, brought our initial drinks, peanuts and a take out container, told us how to check out on the table machine, said she'd be back to see if we needed help, but never showed up.
Someone else brough the appetizer, Someone else brought the food, someone else cleared most of the dishes, someone else cleaned the tables and floor (with the exception of the menu and napkins that were under our table).
No deduction for the cold food on the bill!
We had the chicken fried steak finally the last time we ordered the chicken fried steak we got chicken fried chicken instead and didn't realize it to her almost done. The ribs weren't too bad but they were fall off the bone. I prefer them to be sticky to the Bone a little bit anybody can overcook them but the sauce wasn't bad. The chicken fried chicken was good as well but the sauces were a little heavy and I don't like Smoky sauce in the brown sauce for the chicken fried Meats. We get both sauces on the side. The biggest negative to me personally is country music. I understand it's their theme but that's the one type of music that I cannot stand. Maybe try mixing it up LOL
Yum! Really solid food and drinks. Our server was fantastic!!! So sweet, bubbly and kind despite it being crazy busy at the time.
The onion blossom is a must have. Very unique flavor and so delicious.
Drinks were great too, and only 8$ a piece if I remember right. And the rolls, oh the rolls. They are served with cinnamon butter that is to die for. You gotta come give it a try!
Our server was Jay, & he was so absolutely sweet! He was patient, conversational, helpful, & funny. Kevin was the manager, & he was so funny, kind & ready to do serve however necessary! He always had a smile on. The ladies working were also kind as well!
I had the loaded baked potato (I liked it, but they put salt alll over the outside, which I had to scrape off because it was too salty); the house salad (it was nothing special, personally wouldn't recommend or get it again), the 11oz sirloin medium well (really tasty, not tough, & not too much pink, which I like), & some ribs on the side (they were good, but it was only like 3 or 4 pieces).
My mom got the lemon shrimp with butter, 8oz sirloin, & loaded sweet potato. She enjoyed hers, as did I! And the rolls were good with the butter.
Texas Roadhouse was never a place I'd pick to eat. I didn't like the food much, but I realize it was because I hadn't picked the items I would really end up enjoying. Now, I'd be happy to go again for the steak & try the loaded sweet potato next time. Thank you to everyone who was so kind.
Ordered take out. When I got home I realized they gave me hard cold overcook rolls.The gravy was missing from both of my meals & I had a ton pile of mushrooms with little to no meat. Manager would only offer a replacement if I drove back (wasting my gas and time) with the meals. Nothing to compensate my waste of gas even coming back out there @ 8:30 PM!!!!!! THEN AFTER DRIVING BACK FOR THE REPLACEMENT MEALS , They still managed to forget one of my sides ???????? ????
