This is my first time here as I have driven past this restaurant a few times. From the exterior to the interior my first notion was that it was the sibling to Texas Roadhouse. The atmosphere and the food was fantastic. As soon as you walk through the door chicken is on rotation on the open flame. For the appetizer I ordered the jalapeño wrapped cream cheese. They were delicious. The main course I had the moonshine burger, and my family had the brisket meal. I would definitely come back.
Hadn't been here in quite awhile because we now live in Tennessee! Here on Vaca for my husband's birthday & desided to stop - This use to be one of our favorite restaurants! Not so much now - My food was good & cooked to what I ordered & our Grandson's food was right as well, but my husband ordered the Beef Tips Medium Well & he could not chew them at all - said it was like chewing leather & his Baked Potato was not cooked at all - Extremely Hard! Very Disappointed that we stopped for his Birthday & he couldn't even eat - He's not one that will send it back because of Horror Stories about what some people do to stuff if it's sent back! Probably Won't Be Eating Here Again!
Outside area is nice and the staff was too. Steak wasn't. Ordered a medium (which is typically pink and heated to about 145 degrees) but came to me red runny and barely warm.
Opted not to speak with a manager since there was a line with plans to send out an email but they don't even have a website. Wow....
Texas steak! One of the best meat in the world. I love the most rib eay steak, always fresh and amazing taste! Food is so delicious here and fresh. All recommendations if you want eat very good food and fresh food. Service is so good and stuff is friendly and nice!
Just an overall great atmosphere and experience. I remember being here years ago (about 10). I'm not sure if my palet has improved or the food, but either way was pleasantly surprised!
I got the choice sirloin and the grilling on it was perfect! Not to mention the fries that were some of the best I've ever had the privilege of trying.
Would definitely return and or recommend to anyone wanting to try for the first time!
I ordered beef tips with peppers, onions, and mushrooms. I also ordered a salad, potato with butter, and cream of crab soup. When I got the beef tips , they were overcooked (hard and tough), and they added gravy to it all that was disgusting tasting. There was way too much gravy. Plus, they're was noodles added. If I had known there were noodles, I had picked at it, and I wouldn't have got the up charge baked potato. Plus, the soup did not even taste like crab soup. It had very thin pieces of crab in it. I had picked at it but I decided I couldn't eat it. The only thing I liked about the whole meal was the salad and the baked potato. I'm not a picky eater. I should have sent it back. I've have been there 10 years ago. It was great. The whole meal was $40. I didn't get $40 worth of taste. My husband wouldn't even eat it when I got home. Took a bite, and it went to the garbage.
Really nicely decorated place and an open flame rotisserie for their chicken behind the bar. Seems like a place the locals like to go, which is always a great sign. Had the half rack ribs and brisket with broccoli and fries.
The staff is really friendly and the prices are fair. Definitely would eat here again if the Atlantic Ocean wasn’t between us???? Thank you for the great food.
Food is very good if you like BBQ! The atmosphere is fun and Texas-y!! The staff is friendly and efficient.
