We drove 30 minutes out of our way to try these Malasadas based on Instagram reviews and they did not disappoint. We tried 5 flavours and each one more delicious than the other (Mango, Pineapple, Guava, Chocolate x 2, Bavarian Cream) Lots of parking and seating both inside and out (covered).
Easy ample parking and outdoor seating.
Service was fast and friendly without any issues.
Note that their malasadas are extremely thick and similar to a bread stuffed with filling

It’s delish and worth trying if you haven’t
It was my first time visiting Hawaii, so I had to have a malasada and this place is known for their malasadas. Unfortunately I was not a fan. I got the guava filling which kinda looked like ketchup and tasted kinda like ketchup. Loco moco was just ok, gravy was solid. Korean fried chicken was a bit on the sweet side. Still it's an affordable quick meal that's very filling.
We had a large Bavarian cream malasada and a delicious pina colada fruit smoothie. The pina colada was small, but very tasty. It was hands down better than the chocolate milkshake (milk ice) I got there on my last visit. Definitely a great place to stop for any type of malasada!
Great malasadas! Had the spam breakfast sandwich as well and it was hot and fresh but a little dry and bland. Needed cheese maybe?
Love the chickens on the patio and kids enjoyed chasing them. We hit Tex on every trip and always look forward to it!
Best Malasada and old school Hawaiian Drive in. Most of the other food is serviceable. Location is beautiful and drive to get there is world class if it’s sunny.
Malasadas were served fresh, warm, and delicious! We specifically loved the Guava and Pineapple flavors. A very tasty treat!
I had never even heard of Malasadas before today. OMG the best breakfast food EVER. I highly recommend. I went with a Bavarian Creme and a Strawberry Malasadas. They came out warm and were delicious.
