This is my first time back to Tetsume in quite awhile. I stopped going due to their higher prices and I honestly wasn’t enjoying their ramen all that much. Today though I was pleasantly surprised. We tried the curry, tantan, and miso vegetable ramen and they were all very good. Better than what I remembered. In fact I think their flavors actually got better! I did a small order of fried rice too which was ok but I probably won’t get that again. I would come back here though. Place still has the same Japanese ramen shop decor and vibe and it does get crowded depending on when you come. Manager was nice and helpful.

The tonkotsu ramen and top notch service brought me back to Japan! Seriously the best ramen I’ve had outside of Japan. Had to come back twice before my trip ended!
The tonkotsu was super creamy and not too salty at all. I also love how customizable the ramen is! The tan tan men was good, but the sesame was a little overpowering. My boyfriend loved the garlic ramen! We both loved the takoyaki too!
I liked the restaurant's natural and authentic interior. While I typically opt for chicken or vegetable broth in ramen, I tried the shoyu ramen this time, and overall, it was good. The broth, as usual, was a bit too rich for my taste. Additionally, we ordered the Tonkotsu, which was tasty, pork cutlet with rice and curry sauce.
I lived in Japan for 3 years and I know what great ramen taste like. This is one of best Authentic Japanese Ramen restaurants outside Japan. The tonkotsu broth, char siu, and the noodles are on point.

This is a solid spot for ramen. The takoyaki was delicious. We ordered the tan tan ramen and it was different, very nutty, but we enjoyed it.
Amazing staff and so helpful. My daughter was grooving and doing her happy food dance and she dropped her bowl and they were so kind about it. Family friendly lunch! Totally a Hilo Gem!
