I had a great experience this past weekend. It’s only a quarter of a mile hike up the mountain to beautiful Hot Springs. It wasn’t crowded at all and I was able to enjoy my time pleasantly.
It's a long drive from portland itself
But i think that it's worth it along with the beautiful view and scenery.
10 dollars to get into the place the parking is quite limited, but you can park along the care park. There is a toliet.
The changing rooms are OPEN, so do wear your stuff underneath our clothes before you go or you can just skinny in.
There are 4 pools total i would work my way up toward the top from the bottom.
More like adjustment and also able to check out all the view.
Highly recommend the 3 pool which is 2nd from the highest as it faces the open forest as the water flows down onto you. There is a bucket for the cold water flush.
No smoking and drinking allowed.
We drove 3.5 hours expecting a relaxing day at the hot springs, only to be met with a series of unfortunate events that completely ruined our experience. Upon arrival, the person posing as a ranger demanded cash for entry, despite their card reader being ‘down’. Unwilling to accommodate a modern payment method, they insisted we drive an additional hour just to withdraw cash. Beyond the entry debacle, the facilities were deplorable; toilets were filthy, trash littered the area, and the hot springs themselves were dirty. To add insult to injury, the parking lot was strewn with broken car window glass, hinting at potential security issues. With an influx of visitors and the amount of money being collected, it’s bewildering to see such neglect. This place is a total mismanagement and an absolute letdown.

each person, or they also take checks. There is no cell service in the area, they don't take payment online and you can't even Venmo people from there because there is no cell service.
the Trail was wet, so I think it's good to have shoes with some good tread… Especially right at the hot springs because the rocks can get slippery.
There were a lot of people there, and parking is very limited so I recommend going early.
This is a video of the waterfall on the trail that the area was burned a couple years ago so it's in regeneration but still beautiful
You can camp nearby at multiple campgrounds or even for free at established camp spots along forest roads all over the area
No one at the booth when we came in. No one. No pay. We went and soaked ourselves for a good minute. As we left back to the park, someone showed up at the booth demanded us to pay. Hardly say this person works for a national forest in the sweatpants and a t shirt could be scammer. Who knows. Be careful. Hot Springs was amazing!!!
By the way, it is no longer $7. It had increased $10 now! That is why I was flabbergasted. Oh well!
A beautiful hike in, and 4 very nice pools; unfortunately the Government wants to limit your stay to 2 hours, and will charge $10 per person, even though we're all taxpayers. This was a really cool place, but for some reason the Government thinks it's their own private resort they can rent out. Someday, the People will take it back.
How do you not love hot springs? I've been here a bunch of times and will continually come back here!
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CASH! We were idiots and forgot so we had to drive down to an atm. beautiful springs, quick lil hike from pay station, not too crowded!
