My wife and I have just relocated to the area and one of the most important things for me is finding a very honest and reliable auto mechanic. Well we have found our guy and that is a very satisfying feeling.
I called yesterday for a state inspection appointment and was shocked to get a slot today. Terrace Mountain Auto Repair is a local one man show. Professionalism was first class and garage was spotless and well maintained.

Great experience taking my car in for inspection. Incredibly accommodating with what I had available in my calendar and got me right in. Personable and professional. I don’t see how you can go wrong here.
Clay is a one man guru. Honest (which I don't think is commonplace in most shops) and will always make efforts to get done what's needed. Without trying to rob ya. I prefer his business over commercial shops.

Had a coolant flush and inspection. Clay did excellent work at a fair price. Definitely reccomend him to anyone in the area and will being using him for future repairs!
Terrace Mt. Auto repair was just what the car Dr. ordered and we were in and out fast on a weekend afternoon. We needed an oil change while on a long trip up the east coast. Saturday at 4:45 pm I checked Google for nearby repair shops. Three came up. The first didn't answer the phone - they don't do weekend work apparently. Then I tried Terrace Mt. Auto repair. The owner, Clay, said, "Sure I can fit you in, I'm just finishing up the car I'm working on. You're just three miles away or so." (we had gotten off the highway and stopped at the gas station to find which place was open) I wish I'd asked for directions, as my google maps was having a tough time getting signal and took us to the wrong location (but in the right direction). A local gave s directions turn right at a certain point, and up a hill and a bit of a long and winding road - they were on the left.
We waited in their Air Conditioned office with the pretty mountainside view. and he was done in what seemed like less than 1/2 an hour. He even went back and reset the car's oil change meter, so it keeps track of how many miles since your last oil change, when my friend said he had no idea how to do that. Quick, pleasant service with a smile. He said he mostly is open nights and weekends, just for folks like us.
Clay and Theresa are both very nice and professional and took care of my car quick and pricing very reasonable! Definitely will be back for more work on my car.
