A spot right on the corner in uptown Whittier. My husband and I were walking down the street and didn't know what to eat. Whittier is home away from home. We used to live nearby and take in all our favourite foods. We happen to be in the area and see all the updated shops and restaurants. We decided to try something new and We were so glad we did. Teriyaki Bistro was so welcoming when we walked in. We chose our option of plate/bowl and our toppings. I thought the toppings were a fun little treat. We waited less than 10 min for our food and ate downstairs. The restaurant was clean and had everything you needed. The restroom is located inside that needs a key. Don't worry you can't lose the key... It's attached to a metal serving spoon ????
Save some room for dessert. They have ice cream sandwiches.
Been wanting to try this place for the longest time and finally made it during business hours!
I got the chicken teriyaki bowl with pineapple and green onion toppings. Chicken was cooked over flames (not pan or wok cooked). Chicken was very tasty and the teriyaki sauce used is the thicker sweet tasting type which I personally prefer. Very tasty dish.
Service was friendly and helpful. Atmosphere is nice.
Would I come back? You bet!
I work in Uptown Whittier and appreciate that this place is within walking distance! I got the chicken teriyaki bowl with pineapple and green onion and it was sooooo delicious ???? The meat was flavorful and tender. Will definitely be ordering from here again!
Place has great teriyaki bowls and the tofu is also really good. The teriyaki sauce is one of the best I’ve had. Great place for a healthy and inexpensive meal.
They took a while to give me the food, and since the food felt very simple, the food needed more flavor.
Great food for a great price. Fast and friendly service. I got the chicken teriyaki bowl with cucumber and sesame seed topping and it was SO good! Definitely will be coming back!
I’ve been coming here since it opened, and the food have been consistent every single time. They’re known for their teriyaki bowls, it’s the best option in my opinion. Cant go wrong w the popcorn chicken either! They’re extremely kind and they’ve provided amazing service and food since I was 14
I got the hamburger combo . Fries need to have salt on them that should be standard. The hamburger reminded me of Carl's Jr pre 2000s and was not bad . But the Fry's and the dispute over salt ..I was offered a jalapeno instead and ended up with 2 packets of pepper after negotiations broke down .
