Great Mexican place to eat..wonderful friendly service with a smile...food was great and delicious and drinks hit the spot. Ordered blue margarita which was made just right. Service was fast and well done. Could tell they were happy to have us at there place. Spoke English and Spanish very well. Highly recommend this place...located in plaza by Shamrocks. Atmosphere was great...cant wait to go back....!!!
Just traveling through Temple Tarrace and though let’s get Mexican food for lunch. We found this on the map and even though it was a little off the highway, it was best case scenario. The food is fantastic. The price is very fair for the serving sizes. The restaurant seems very clean and quiet. Our server Janet was a very sweet lady. I would recommend if you like Mexican food and your coming through the area you should go just a little out of your way and eat here. Their house hot sauce was amazing!!!
I went here tonight for dinner and had a great time. My drinks were amazing and so was the dinner. Bernie did an excellent job serving us. We will be back soon! 5/5!
Just got chicken fajitas from here and the food was amazing. Highly recommend stopping by and trying it out if you're in the area. Friendly people and great food ???????? btw the pictures not blurry , that's the steam from the food lol
It is just ok
However it was very unpleasant listening the young server lied after I requested a drink. He kept in his position: I mentioned about the flavor and show the picture in the menu.
He refuse to changed and continue his position as politicians that always lies
See the drink I requested
See the drink he did bring me
He even told it is the same as the picture showing
This was the second time of an drink problem
Last time they did change it
Service was excellent and very attentive. Unfortunately aside from the orchata that is made in house, the food needs allot of help. They truly need somebody else in the kitchen. This is far from being truly good season mexican food. Taco bell has better flavor and that says allot. Y eso es la neta!!! No manches delen mas amor a la cocina. By the way took 3 bites and left it there. ????
No forks or tortillas its said it came with tortillas no napkins..order a chile relleno and a burrito that little piece is the the stuffed bell pepper when I was told it was a whole one.. its B.S DONT RECOMMEND
I am writing this review / complaint on 8-20-20 at 7:51 PM EST.
I visited the restaurant establishment known as “Tequila Mexican Restaurant & Grill” for the first time this evening. Before I begin, please let it be known that I seldom take time out of my life to register complaints; as I believe that doing so is not only wasteful but typically pointless. However, in this particular case, too many things went wrong to ignore; and I believe that failing to register a formal complaint would not only be wrong in principle, but a disservice to the consuming public as well.
This restaurant advertises a weekly special on Thursdays called, “All You Can Eat Crispy Tacos”. When I visited the restaurant, it was empty save for another couple who had already finished with their meal and were talking with the server (who I came to understand was the son of the owner).
I sat down and ordered the special of the day (the all-you-can-eat tacos). What immediately stood out to me was the general uncleanliness of the restaurant, which was replete with dirty floors and the appearance of insects. Mind you, I am not so naïve as to be unware that roaches are a common problem in Florida and in restaurants, in particular. However, this does not change the fact that seeing one in the dining area was quite unwelcome and disturbing.
Added to this was the fact that the waiter was blatantly rude. I was forced to wait for refills due to the fact that he was more concerned with conversing casually with the other couple who were already finished with their order. The added insult of this was that he was right in front of me during this time and could see that both my food and drink were in need of refreshment.
The worst part came as I put in a re-order for another plate of tacos. The waiter told me that if I wanted more there was an additional charge. When I pointed out that they were running an all-you-can-eat special on their tacos, he simply raised his hands and said “Whatever, man. Those are the rules.” It was at this point that I asked to see the manager or owner; who was, apparently, his mother.
When she came out to see me, I asked her why they were limiting my order when I specifically ordered the all-you-can-eat special. Her demeanor immediately became hostile and, with raised voice, she told me that there was a limit to the number of tacos one could eat. This was NOT advertised on the menu, nor was it advised to me prior to this. Her son, the waiter, even admitted that he had not informed me of any limits. Despite this, the owner refused to honor her advertisement or discount the meal. When I asked her how I was supposed to know that there was a limit before anyone informed me, both she and her son simply stated that no one ate more than 10 tacos. To state the obvious, this is not a valid answer.
Before leaving the restaurant, I asked the waiter if the restaurant was registered with any other organizations besides the BBB (such as state or city bureaus). The waiter raised his voice and stated, “Whatever, man. I just work here. Whatever.”
To conclude, my chief complaints against this business are as follows:
• Unclean dining room
• Rude, inattentive service
• False advertisement

As of the time of writing this review, this restaurant has a C rating on the BBB website. Little wonder as to why.
