Good prices, most dishes are under $10. I ordered the beef fajitas and they were good.
My husband went inside and ordered 12 steak tacos on Corn tortillas and we received the food and went to our hotel (traveling from Mississippi) anyways. When we opened our food the tacos had flour shells instead of corn and we were so tired from traveling that we each just ate 3 out the others in the fridge and went to sleep. Upon waking I checked our bank account and almost woke everyone in the hotel up! We were charged over $90 for 12 steak tacos and I want to know why! They didn't have the correct shells, gold dust or diamonds in them. After seeing this charge, I read more of the reviews and see this is a common thing! We will be disputing this. I'm also upset with my husband who didn't question this ridiculous amount when he was in the establishment! We usually spend $50-60 max at other restaurants for 12 Tacos, this was just ridiculous. Get your receipts from this place and start disputing unreasonable charges, maybe they'll stop being ridiculous!
INCREDIBLE. This is some of the finest Mexican cuisine the south of Illinois has to offer. Plump, toothsome morsels of Hispanic food topped perfectly!!! I watch the Food Network on cable so know a thing or two about authentic Mexican food.

The top shelf margarita is really good. The complementary chips are good but the salsa not so much. I asked for a hot salsa which was much better but thin. The beef was cooked to my requested temperature and flavor was excellent. Ambiance is nice and service staff was attentive.
Update: they finally got a new menu so hopefully this issue goes away
These guys charged me $1 extra for each item on multiple occasions until I started asking for a receipt. They stated it’s because of the new menu that is not out yet but there is no listing or sign of price increase. Don’t get me wrong, food and service are good. They just need to fix their shady business.

Good restaurant years ago when we lived in the area. Stopped for lunch with family after the July 4th parade in Steelville. Service was fair along with the food. Never got a refill on my ice tea and had to go to the cashier to get my bill. Will be going to another restaurant when in Sparta next time.
