Kelly is very knowledgeable and friendly. The store is a good resupply if you are fishing or car camping not necessarily for leather express hiking. Chicken salad sandwhich was super tasty and refreshing.
Super helpful staff and locals who hang out here ???? I came in to find Benadryl after working in someone’s yard in the area. I had huge blister like things on my feet and everyone in the building looked at it to help recommend a product I should buy really nice group. Turns out it was shingles but hey we tried ????♀️
The store is really charming and has all your convenience needs. However, the owners are what sets it apart. They are truly beautiful souls. They're happy to chat with you, give you the local history and will treat you like family. Definitely stop here. If you're going to be late I'd call ahead
Store is a little run down, but available selection is pretty well thought out and the woman running the store is a fountain of information on the local area. She'll help you plan a great trip if you have time. Even offered to let us leave our rig there for the day while doing some local sight seeing. They have brochures including forest service maps. There are interesting displays outside also.
Kelly and Bonnie are the BEST. Any homemade food in the store should be considered. The ham and cheese croissants were incredible as was the frittata Bonnie made fresh. The store has been family owned for a century and they work hard to take care of their customers. They knew everyone who came into the store while I was there resupplying for a segment of the Continental Divide Trail I was hiking. Even so, they treated me no different. If you are hiking the CDT in ID or just passing by Tendoy, do yourself a favor and stop in here. It also contains the town post office in case you have any needs of that sort. Great little "Mom and Pop" store. Owners are the nicest people and really knowledgeable on the history of the area. You must stop when passing through Tendoy!
We stopped in the store to ask if we were in the right place to drive the Lewis and Clark Backcountry road.
The lady in the store was EXTREMELY helpful. Gave me detailed information and was so informative.
Quiet Country Store. Everything you need, trailer parking, reasonably priced. Great hunting and fishing close.
