After several frustrating hours of calls trying to find someone to help us after we damaged the tailpipe on our RV, we pulled in and I threw myself at the mercy of the mechanics. Despite it being 20 minutes until closing, Eddie took care of what he saw as a minor problem. To us, his kindness was priceless and gave us peace of mind to continue our travels. It is perhaps easy to watch the news and conclude that most people in our country are cold and self-centered. Eddie is a shining example refuting that thought. Thank you many times over.
Great mechanic, fast repair time, and they did a excellent job :-) The only downside is you can't bring your own parts for them to install. That is understandable because they do warranty their work and I'm sure they don't want to be on the hook for defective parts that they did not source. However a option just to pay them to install something would be nice.
This guy knows his diesels. I would recommend him doing your work instead of a few others in the area. Or further, like Madison ave. bunch of rip offs. I deliver parts to all the shops in Temecula and Murrieta and I know the good ones and the bad ones. So when I say this is the guy to do your work. You'll be doing the right thing and save money compared to others prices.
Was told by 3 other shops my Superduty Turbo required replacement. Ty diagnosed it as the turbo fan actuator and repaired it for about 1/5th of the cost assigned to it compared to replacing my Turbo unit.
Do not waste your time or money coming here! If I could leave negative 5 stars I would. We brought our company truck in because it would not pass Smog back in FEBRUARY of 2022 and after weeks of no communication and being given the run around, I was told they were attempting to order a part that was back ordered nationwide. We are understanding and know that parts are hard to come by since COVID but that is no excuse for the extreme lack of communication. EIGHT months later we finally got our truck back only for the check engine light, check service emissions light, low coolant warning (false warning due to bad sensor) and a warning stating the max speed is capped at 55 miles per hour to come on just two weeks later. The owner Ty lacks basic customer service skills, and his guys clearly did not know what they were doing back there. I had to take it to GMC Temecula for diagnostics only to be told that what we paid Temecula Diesel to do needs to be completely replaced among varies other things that should have been addressed by Temecula Diesel. I thought to bring it back to them but after being told they “wanted to keep over night and test some other things in the morning” I just knew the best thing would be to take it to an actual dealer or run the risk of not having a our truck back for who knows how long.
Brought one of my semi trucks to this shop. Had a nuch of air leaks n put a new clutch break disc in. Had me in & out in 3 or 4 hours. Seem to be the trick. Haven't checked the air tank holdings but sure its good. Honest, trustworthy, diesel mechanic shop. Told me they been around for 30 plus years so go with this shop it you need good work. Tell em Buttchin sent ya.
I took my 2500 sierra to Temecula diesel for a check engine light and was treated courteously by all the guys working there. They checked the computer for me and once they found the problem gave me a reasonable estimate for the work to be performed. When finished, the bill was exactly what they had said. No add ons or surprises. I felt confident in their work and after driving for about three weeks no further issues have "popped up". I'm glad i chose this shop.
My experience at this repair shop was one of the worst I have ever had with any truck or car repair facility. Communication was the biggest issues as it was almost nonexistent. I had my 2013 International Truck towed in on January 8th, 2019 to be serviced due to problems starting it. I was referred To Temecula Diesel by a reliable and dependable repair shop owner that I have trusted for 30 years--but he sadly did not work on diesel trucks. I told the manager (Ty) that I had insurance and I was told it would be looked at right away but that did not occur. My truck sat in the lot for a week before anyone touched it. (This would become a recurring theme). I kept calling for updates but most of the time there was no answer or Steve told me that Ty would have to call me back. When I did speak to someone they told me there were having issues communicating with my insurance. After weeks past, I was finally told I needed a Max Force High Pressure Pump ($3375) Rail Adaptors 6 for $467, Rail kit, o-rings, and the total would be $5929. Needless to say, I was shocked, but I'm not an expert in repairs. (I was told by many people with knowledge of diesel trucks that I overpaid, but it is what it is.) The truck was finally released back to me on 2/4/19 nearly a month after I initially brought it in! My insurance only covered about $2500 of it and I had added an oil change and battery so I accepted the total. I was also told that it had been test driven but we verified the odometer before and after and it had not moved!
Unfortunately, about 2 weeks later, in mid February, my truck was not starting AGAIN so I had to bring the truck in AGAIN to have 2 Maxforce Injectors installed. The shop did not charge for labor but it was in there for another 2 and 1/2 weeks sitting in the lot and cost me an additional $1058. Again I was not called or updated regularly- absolutely terrible communication.
I got it back again on March 8th and almost immediately it had problems starting again! This time I decided that Temecula Diesel was not to be trusted with it. I took my truck to a competitor who replaced 6 rail adaptors (which Temecula Diesel supposedly repaired!!) , a valve cover gasket, seal kit, and o-rings-- the end result was $2557 more due to Temecula Diesel's inability or unwillingness to fix it the first time! (or the second time!)
In my opinion, Temecula Diesel owes me $2557 for these repairs but they don't seem interested in returning calls or emails. They never have.
Maybe this shop just did not have the knowledge or skill to repair my truck or maybe they just did not care, but to anyone needing diesel repairs-- run run away from this place!!!!!! Don't go here!!
