Very rude old man, wouldn’t help because “his boss was on vacation” DONT RECOMMEND GOING HERE
Ted's the best. He's towed me out of some awful situations and was really nice about it. I finally had him fix my car: up & lower tie rods, 2 new tires balanced mounted and alignment. Didn't take all that long considering he had to drive miles and miles to get my tires so I didn't have to come back. This was the first time he ever said "you know, you really are a bother".
They're not bad, if you're desperate. Prices are relatively cheap for the area and they're flexible, but on more than one occasion they've either damaged my car or forgot to refill it with oil during an oil change.
Update from my post a year ago. Again no issue with Ted's, they always fix the issue 100%, never had to go back to have there work redone. Ted and his crew are very nice, won't bring my car anywhere else!
Great mechanics, great shop, cheap oil changes. When you walk into Ted's you know that your car is in good hands. Very fair prices. Best shop in Grand rapids.
I went in to get a squealing noise fixed and get my tires rotated. He rotated my tires, and replaced my intake filter, which I didn't ask for. He then proceeded to tell me that there wasn't any fix to the squeal, and I just had to live with it. I drove it home, squealing all the way, did an hour of research with no car experience whatsoever and found out exactly what the problem was. He told me that my AC belt looked fine, but upon my own inspection, I found it to be WAY too loose. A few YouTube tutorials later, I fixed the problem myself.
Now, my car smells like cigarette smoke.
TLDR; You're better off taking it somewhere else, or fixing it yourself without any experience.
Love the service Ted's been working on my vehicles for over 10 years will go beyond what needs to be done and informs you about everything that that makes this the only place I will get work done on my vehicles
Awesome service and reasonable prices. You can get an oil change to a major repair. Ted has been servicing our community for many decades.
