Best WLM Reviews

One of the best places to have a Hometown quick breakfast they're not slow the food is also very quiet it nice to enjoy thank you for great food and service.!
Synopsis: Old school dining meets friendly service and a(mostly) inexpensive breakfast. No debit or credit cards- cash only!
Review: I’ve driven past Ted and Marie’s many times and always wondered what awaited me inside. Today was the day to explore!
I was greeted by a scent of sour smoke and slightly dingy walls...you can tell smoking was allowed here- perhaps even required at some point in its history. There were a group of regulars joking with the waitress and cook. It definitely has a small town feel.
The waitress was friendly and quick to serve up a coffee refill.
I ordered the special - 2 eggs, toast, potatoes, and bacon - for $5.95. A decent deal! I also ordered a half-order of biscuits and gravy. Gluttony, in the name of a Google review isn’t really gluttony.
The first part of my breakfast was great- eggs were perfect, toast buttered and tasty, bacon not so crispy as to crumble upon touching it, and the potatoes were on par.
The biscuits and gravy, however...two small biscuits swimming in an off color, watery sausage gravy. Flavor was fine, but it did not look appetizing. For just over $4 I was hoping for a fluffier biscuit. Avoid the biscuits and gravy.
As others said, this is a cash only joint.
All in all, for less than $6 (not including coffee) you can get a decent breakfast with good service. However, the dates and smoked atmosphere detracts slightly from the experience. With so many other options I don’t know if I’ll be back, but this place works in a pinch if you don’t want to break the bank.
Really great food. The service was good. We loved the atmosphere, it's very traditional old school. The majority of the client is the older crowd and it's kept really warm in there. I'm not sure they have AC, but if so it wasn't on. We met friends from out of town for brunch and loved how comfortable it was for talking other than the hear. Just too warm. We'll definitely go back, we'll just eat and go somewhere else to visit for a few hours.
They have breakfast and lunch specials that are a decent bargain.
This is not fancy food. Simple is sometimes better.
Seems like lots of regulars frequent this place, but still room for a newbie.
The one thing you need to know is that they are cash only.
Service was great! They had the food out to us within ten minutes of ordering, which was very nice. Food was done and tasty. The waitress always came by our table to see how we were doing and make sure our drinks stayed filled. Atmosphere felt like a mom-and-pop type diner, which was very nice. If you decide to go here have cash on hand because it is a cash only type restaurant.
This place is full of life every time I go there. It's full the servers always treat us well and the food is abundant. The only thing is you have to pay cash or check no cards. So if you go, bring cash or leave your family there while you go to a bank to get cash. They have basic dinners food, not specialty pancakes, just plain pancakes but very good. I love it. And it's cheap!!!!
Typical breakfast restaurant. Food good, service good. Small parking area.
Personally, while I enjoyed the food and low prices when I ate here half a year ago, I couldn’t get in touch with my server. I did see another reviewer comment on that and agree that the elderly regulars may be served more frequently. I was sitting there waiting for ten minutes for an OJ refill and my server just wasn’t talking to me. She was busy and I can totally understand accidentally losing track but the lack of service and lack of noticing that I was making physical motions (not unnoticeable and not over the top) to try to contact her made me feel uncomfortable and not want to come back.
