Inconsistent. That’s the best way to put this shop. In need a hair cut in a pinch? They will get it done. Will you like it? Maybe? Depends on the day. My husband has given them ample chances and every time he comes out less than happy. This last time? He was so upset. There is a woman there that cuts hair that only does a decent job on occasion… and the last time he went… not only was his hair cut the worst he ever experienced.. she actually cut him pretty badly and didn’t acknowledge it. My husband has been getting fades for years. This is not to place to go for those. This place should not be rated as highly as it is. The only reason it might be is that they accept walk ins. Best to walk past this one and call another locally owned shop that takes appointments. But know that in a rush you might walk out needing to visit the Walgreens across the street for a box of bandaids to patch yourself up.

Update: it’s been over a year and every cut is great. I went in yesterday with a picture of a guy with completely different hair texture then me and he still pulled it off.
The staff is nice but they cut what they want. I have asked for a high fade for 10 years. They got it right once. I was so shocked, I took pictures to show them for future haircuts. I show the pictures and dont get a high fade. So I give up. Not many options in Culpeper.
No wait to get a haircut. Patty was my barber and she was fantastic. She asked what I wanted and made a suggestion that would work better with my hair. This is the best haircut I have had in many years. I strongly recommend Teds for anyone wanting a great haircut.
Been here twice already and both times they messed up. Asked for a medium messy haircut and sides cut short. Lady cut my hair waaaay too short and left the sides quite long. Even used google translate along with a picture yet my results were the complete opposite of what I asked. Lady also kept asking me if I liked it over and over and over again, knowing how badly she did on it. Spend your money somewhere else, in all honesty my mom could probably do a better job.
I have been going to Ted's for the better part of five years, and I go every two weeks for a haircut. Great prices and great service. No, you're not going to have a witty conversation with the barbers, or catch up on the local gossip as English is not their first language, but I have never been unhappy with my haircut.
I never review anything online but I felt that I needed to give this a review. I'd give zero stars if I could. The last two times I got a haircut here, they cut way too short. I had a different barber each time. I asked for between a medium and a low close fade. I ended up with a high fade both times. Tried explaining what the issue was and they don't understand. I've been getting this haircut for years from different places but I've never received anything this far from what I actually wanted.
