Great pho broth. Great vegetarian broth. Generous portion of fixings. Good egg rolls. The restaurant is a classic little hole in the wall Vietnamese place so set your expectations for dated diner decor but come for the food.
Best Vietnamese food in my opinion in St Paul. For sure I will be back. It’s what some people would call a “dive” but I’m here for the food. Not for a photo shoot. Pic is the Mike’s rice platter special. Chinese sausage is like sweeter chorizo. My go to is usually either pho or vermicelli salads but a lot of people have probably commented on those dishes. Will try next time I am in the area.
Pho was great! However, the service was just awful! Every person including myself that arrived to dine in was left waiting without so much as a hello for over five minutes. I didn't see one customer not look frustrated before being sat down. Bummer because the food was really good!
We enjoyed the pho, cream cheese puffs and eggroll and pork meatball noodle salad. Very large portions and good. Other Asian people here eating- that’s always a sign of an authentic restaurant.
We ordered the Bun Bo Hue, chicken fried rice, chicken wings (perfect crunch), bahn mi, and beef with lemon grass. Everything was absolutely delicious! Very high-quality flavors and portion was just right. We came on a weekday lunchtime and it was not busy. The service was good and super fast. Got our food in less than 5 minutes.
For the food items we did get. Flavor was good… however!!!!!!
I’m giving 2 stars because…. They were rushing around.. I get that you may be busy but you shouldn’t be an asss when taking my orders.
Also forgot two of our dishes after she repeated our order to us before placing them in. then when they were asked about the missing dishes… one was brought out with hair in it.

I've been visiting this restaurant for over 10 years, and the food and service is always great. For new comers and locals wanting to try somewhere different, I always suggest getting the House Special Pho (P1 on their menu). The way you can tell how great a Vietnamese restaurant is, is by the taste of their pho broth and boy, their broth is on point! Hot, clear, sweet and savory beef broth over tender rice noodles with cuts of beef - DELICIOUS!!! Try their other dishes as well, they won't disappoint you. Thank you Tay Ho for always feeding me amazing food.
Not sure why people still coming here. I get it, the pho was delicious but the customer service was horrible. The 1 older lady (middle age) that likes to talks a lot got bad attitude and makes you feel like she doesn’t want you there. But the 2 old lady that used to work there and the younger lady were nice and friendly. Will go get pho from somewhere else from now on. Good luck to the restaurant!
