So disappointed. This was my boyfriend and I first time trying taxman since we got a giftcard during Christmas. We didn’t feel like dining in since I’m not feeling well so we decided to order for pick up. We first tried to call to get more information about the meals and order on the phone so he could just go pick it up, we called about 6 times and not a single answer from the restaurant. I told my boyfriend to just go in and order in person. He gets there while we’re on the phone and we both can hear a phone ringing and my boyfriend said that the phone keeps ringing and no one is picking up even though the restaurant was empty. He placed the order and they told him that the wait time will be 15-20 min. While he waited, he was walking around the restaurant talking about how the both of us should definitely come dine in the next time we want to try the food there again. About 20 minutes later, he gets our orders and requested for sodas to go and I heard the employee Jacklyn A which was the server that took the order telling him that you guys ran out of to go cups and that the only option was to put the drinks in coffee cups! I was very shocked but I was hoping that the cups would at least be a decent size but instead we got our drinks in 2 small coffee cups as if we are kids. My boyfriends gets back home with the orders which was 2 burgers with fries since we ordering for pick up, we didn’t want to risk it and try something we wouldn’t like and decided to do a classic first. We both opened the to go box and burger patties still had a lot of pink and somewhat cold so we threw both of our burgers but I remembered to take a picture of what the fries looked which is attached to the review. We live 3 min away from the restaurant so it had not been too long since the food was picked up. Not only was the burger not the right temperature it should’ve been, the fries were dark burnt and hard as a rock and had the smallest portion of it, you would think it’s a kid order. I cannot make any of this up and I’m so frustrated because having to deal with this result when you have been sick and are trying to eat your first meal of the day to give yourself some energy is pitiful. I called the restaurant back 4 times right after to report this and no one bothered to answer the phone AGAIN. We both are very speechless by this because if we wanted mediocre food, we would’ve gotten fast food instead. You only get one chance to make a good impression to a customer and this was ours.Never again.
Service was slow. The waiter would come to the table and not ask everyone if they needed anything. He could have made so much more money at our table if he had. I had to stop him to get a drink multiple times while he was just going to walk away after asking half the table if they needed anything...
Food was ok, I had the mussels. They put the French fries that come with it right on the mussels so half of them were not edible as they were soaked in the broth. I wouldn’t order them again. Might stop for a beer, but tons of options in the Indy area, so probably not.

A little better than I was expecting, my wife picked Taxman for dinner during our anniversary long weekend. House made veggie burger was just ok, would be better if replaced with impossible or beyond as a future menu option. The pesto grilled cheese was great, nice flavor and went well with a side of Brussels sprouts. The beer was great, the bourbon barrel beers were our favorite! While we waited for our table we got 2 beers at the bar, when we got to our table the server automatically added them to our bill even though we already paid at the bar. Keep an eye on your bill for this mistake or you’ll be double charged!! Our server wasn’t very good and the reason for the two less stars under service. Atmosphere was good and ended up being an enjoyable dinner / night out.
*flourless chocolate cake was really good as a dessert option. Not pictured because it didn’t last long between the two of us.
We are from MI and decided to stop by here for some drinks! Loved the theme as we work in a Tax office! Eddie was our waiter and was the absolute best! Helped help order something fun and even suggested some good apps! Great environment, beer, and live music!
This is the closest brewpub from my hotel - although it may be just a tasting room, haven't seen any brewing equipment.
Beautiful building, they did a great job of restoring whatever this was.
I got there at opening time and sat at the bar...alone ???? it kinda killed the ambiance a bit, but no problem, because I really enjoyed the beers. The pils was tasty and I lived the fact that their signature ale was a Belgian Saison. And a good one at that.
Decent price for the beer, I think there was a special that afternoon.
Didn't try the food, but it looked nice, typical brewpub fare.
Good service, the staff was friendly and having fun, even with an empty house.
I'd love to see this place on a busy night.
The atmosphere is awesome! The server was kind and attentive. The beer flight was alright with the Key Lime refreshing and better than expected but the Hop Audit undrinkable! The wings were tasty but small, especially for the price. And the blue cheese was so watered down it was another huge disappointment.
One of my faves! I don't even normally like breweries, but the food here is so good. The menu changes a lot and the options are nicer than your standard pub fare. I've been back several times and it's always great, especially the salmon and brussel sprouts. There's an extensive beer selection, but I really like the fruity and floral cocktails.
Went for dinner while visiting the area. Our service was really great, the vibe was great & the food & drinks were stellar!
