There is so much good to say about this restaurant!
Let's start with the food. I have been looking for a good Eggs Benedict for forever, always being let down before, but I finally found it! The eggs were cooked to perfection, soft and serving as a sauce for the dish.
Parking was super easy--no paid or parallel parking! The service was good, not remarkable in any way but good.
The only slightly awkward thing is the table they say 4 of us down at was rather small. When our food came out there was no room for my coffee. Not a deal breaker but awkward.
Overall, I'll be going back for sure!
Not what I expected. Arrived and first on list for a table and stated we were fine being outside. She mentioned there were tables available, which tracked as there were two tables clean and empty. But she wrote down my name with a twenty minute wait. So we just stood there outside, staring at the two empty tables for twenty minutes. Finally seated, our server was absolutely lovely and attentive. Took our orders. Brought drinks, but one drink had a fly that accidentally got in it, so she took it back and didn't return for almost 20 minutes. I don't think they were staffed enough for the size of the crowd. Food comes, and two of us ordered burgers, medium rare. They were well done. Raviolis were just 5 or 6 raviolis laid flat on a plate. Nice atmosphere, not enough staff and food sounded amazing but wasn't. Probably won't return.
This was our second visit to Tavern on Kruse and the food was once again phenomenal. The patio is really lovely, especially the area around the front, and it was very quiet and serene for our brunch. Both of the benedicts (crab/steak and smoked ham) we ordered were fantastic - this place nails the hollandaise - and the chef's bowl with pork belly was a winner. The portions are good for the price as well. Our service was a little less attentive than we'd have liked this time, but I still absolutely recommend it for the exceptional food and relaxing environment.
Went out to celebrate, this is our first time eating here. Customer service was outstanding. The food was so delicious. This is really fine dining at its best, and the price is reasonable. I would suggest to make reservations online ahead of time. (I forgot to take some pictures of the place)
Incredibly delicious food, very friendly staff and really nice decor!! I had the egg and sausage sandwich and it was wonderful. Highly recommend! Will definitely return soon.
The patio on a summer evening is lovely! It also adds a lot more seating, although you should still need to get a reservation. The service is good. The menu changes with the seasons. I love to try seasonal specialties. I love gazpacho and it was fun to try a new variety with melons and avocados, although I would have liked it spicier. The presentation of the pork chop was beautiful and it was very tender. The cocktails are also good! I have consistently enjoyed my meals and this time I also enjoyed the jazz band playing music in the background.
Has two servers becuase one was in training.
Only suggestion if a client gets food they should be asked if they want (or offered voluntarily) salt & pepper.
Great place. Lazy rainy Sunday morning brunch. Steak Oscar Benedict was excellent as were their Spicy Bloody Mary's. Service was great waitstaff attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend for Sunday Brunch, I will have to go again and check out dinner ????
