Recently moved to Shrewsbury & 7 minutes away from here. Food was good but service was poor. We were seated at a large circular table for the 3 of us, I requested to move so that we could hear each other.. the hostess obliged & made an actual upset face ..it was very uncomfortable. Our server was condescending and not helpful. It was gross to see the food runner's hair swinging over our meals. The chicken quesadilla appetizer was delicious. My daughters burger was ordered medium & arrived clearly well done as you see in the picture. Nashville chicken sandwich was good, but more of an Asian flavor like sweet & sour than a buffalo. I liked it. Good food, but when I pay $115 for brunch, I do like to enjoy friendly service. Burtons across the parking lot has delicious food and we had excellent service there on 3 occasions. Because of service, Burtons is the better option.
I visited tavern in the square for lunch. The place is packed but we had a reservation. The waitress was great! We started with fried pickles and they were outstanding! I had the braised short rib grilled cheese sandwich. It was good but I didn't care for the sauteed sweet onions. I'm definitely going back to try their fried spicy chicken sandwich!
This place has wonderful food. Service took awhile but to be fair the back area was closed for reasons unknown. It was a bit loud and the tables were not very clean but overall would recommend.
1st time here and it won't be the last, delicious food, good staff and great drinks. Overall a great place to go. Loved it.
This particular Tavern on the Square is beautiful. It's very big. The wait staff was wonderful and informative. The food was delicious and unique. Their bowls are like none I've seen.

This place was just pretty average for an American sports bar, nothing too special. We ordered 4 entrees, and they were all huge! The portions in this place were waaaay worth the price. Our waiter was super nice as well. The place itself was clean and easy to find places.
The food was pretty good as well, one of the things we got was the Picante Burger w/ the House Fries. I was expecting the burger to be spicier, but that may just be my high spice tolerance. The meat was cooked well and none of the toppings fell out, so that was a plus. The fries were also soft, but not limp. 3.9/5
The Mac and Cheese w/ Buffalo Chicken was good. Again, the spice was underpowering, but the combination of cheeses in it and the breadcrumbs on the top gave it a nice crunch. 4.3/5
The Quinoa Rice Bowl was not too flavorful and the variety of vegetables in the bowl were either too big to fit in my mouth, or were too small. The dish was juicy though. 2.5/5
The Fish & Chips came with Tarter sauce. The tarter sauce didn't really feel like real good tarter sauce and was lacking in flavor. The fish was fresh and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, there was a perfect balance. 3.6/5
Overall, the place was about a 3.7/5 so round up to 4.
As a former restaurant employee, I was very impressed with Shayne’s service and attention to detail. From the first sip to the final bill, he was there constantly checking in while tending to other patrons and his bar duties. Thanks for making our night that much more fun Shayne!
I got Sweet & Spicy Thai Chicken Salad. Amazing. Spicy but not where it was unpleasant. One of the best salads I’ve had in a while. And the portion was huge.
It was a little loud but it was packed when we arrive and then cleared out.
