Best WLM Reviews
Lunch in front of the fireplace, so cozy. Lobster chowder was amazing
We were traveling with a tourist group staying at the hotel and we dined here twice. The first was a group dinner with a limited menu. I had the chicken pot pie, which was one of the best I've ever had. The pie was stuffed with large cuts of white meat and vegetables bathed in a thick, made-by-grandma tasty gravy all covered in light puff pastry. It was almost too much for one person. My wife had the filet mignon, a thick, massive, eight-ounce cut of tenderloin covered with a red wine sauce. She loved the filet but could only eat about half. Unfortunately, I was completely full of pot pie and couldn't help her out. What a waste!
We had our second dinner the next night as a couple and sat in the garden room. The atmosphere was somewhat contemporary, especially being that the restaurant was in a historic hotel, with a great view of a flower garden extending completely on one side of the space. Although a bit slow, the service was satisfactory. My wife was not very hungry, so she only had the flat bread appetizer. It was excellent and she ate every last bit of it. Luckily, they still had some median-rare prime rib for me. It was cooked perfectly but was not as tender as I expected it to be. The taste, however, was very good. Still, I have to rate the prime rib just average.
The price for the flat bread was reasonable, but the prime rib was over-priced for the quality of the meat. Otherwise, my rating would be five stars.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. One of my favorite local places to eat.
We had a very nice lunch here. The food was delicious and the service was professional. The atmosphere is what will have us coming back. Relaxing in the atrium looking at the waterfall.
Recommendation from a local and it was a great one. We dined on the tavern for brunch and it was such a great experience. We split the French Onion soup, some of the best we've ever had. My wife had the Panko crusted cod sandwich and I had the bacon jam burger. Both excellent. Worth the trip. Beautiful historical property.
Fantastic service. Food was great.i had the special of the day. Coconut chicken, rice pilaf. Staff was amazing too.
Beatiful interior with a nice selection of options. Service was friendly and quick.
Great atmosphere in historic inn. The service was great and food and drink were even better. Highly recommend you check it out if you're in the area.
