Out of the countless reviews I've done in the area, I can easily say that Tastebuds is the best restaurant in North Haven, hands down. The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere is tasteful, and the staff is a dream team that makes your taste bud dreams come true with the first bite.
I highly recommend that everyone try them out. Conveniently located off of I91, exit 11, and Rt15, exit 63, directly across from the green. You won't be disappointed! I will definitely be returning for Taco Tuesday.
Taste Buds Deli is a timeless gem! The food's impeccable quality hasn't wavered since its opening two decades ago. A consistent five-star experience, making it my go-to spot for a delicious and satisfying lunch while visiting family in CT.
First time I went, I got the Mel’s Chicken on a sub. It’s so good I can’t pass up the option to get it every time I’m in the area and it never disappoints. Nice thin warm cutlets with cold lettuce tomato and honey mustard. 10/10 recommend.
After flying to New Haven on an early flight from Raleigh, getting a coffee and a steak, egg and cheese on a hard roll, and it hit the spot. So good, great price and welcoming staff. Will probably go there next time I’m in CT
Great food and a great deli however they dont care about the customers. I called for a breakfast sandwich but because it was 11:39 they stopped serving breakfast at 11:30. Instead of taking the order they rather loose the customer. What a terrible way to do business!
I love their tuna. It's solid white, very light on mayo. Fresh. I usually get tuna sub or their Charlie chip wrap(tuna with potato chips in the wrap)... they have fresh pasta salad, drinks, chips, desserts. Also I like their salads. I get the crossfit one, forget exact name, but I substituted the meat for tuna. I know some coworkers complained prices went up... but I don't go there as often as they did for it to be noticed or hurt my pockets! Plus, you can't beat a good tuna sandwich, imho. They have inside and outside seeing. Always friendly. It's usually a line but they are well organized to get you in and out. Good portion sizes (I'm greedy and like to be FULL). A go-to.
Horrible service. I will never go there again. I don’t even want to give 1 star. Went there to get a meal got half of what I ordered they forgot to give me the rest of my meal. Came back home to find that I didn’t get everything I ordered. Tried calling them they were dodging my calls they picked up once then hung up then they stayed quite. after that I kept calling they wouldn’t pick up. Finally picked up after me calling. Explained to them that I didn’t get my meal and would like a refund they said you have to physically come back to get a refund. Had to drive back over there and they didn’t even apologize for their mistake. It costed me the drive back because of their mistake. No remorse or consideration of others for their mistake. She says to bad on the phone with me. I can’t do anything about it. Horrible treatment. It was a Burnett woman who looked like she hated her job to begin with. Will never go there again. And I actually liked that place once upon a time.
Quality has dipped some. My burrito was bland. I ordered a simple bean, rice, and cheese because it was good Friday, and they forgot the cheese.
The beans and rice had no flavor.
I'll try them again, just to give them a fair shake.
