This is absolutely NOT authentic Indian food. Ordered chicken saag, butter chicken, vegetable samosas, and garlic naan for a total of $78. The chicken saag was tender thighs, but it was added to the Saag sauce which was a puree...like baby food, that's not traditional for Saag. The butter chicken was boiled cubed chicken breast added to a flavorless butter chicken sauce that tasted like the jarred butter chicken sauce I get from the grocery store. For both chicken dishes you could tell that the chicken was cooked by itself and then just added to a ready-made sauce. They only had whole wheat naan, and the naan tasted like chewy dense pizza dough, no airy-ness or bubbles. The naan was completely inedible, like microwaved leftover frozen pizza.
I've had Indian in the middle east, and in several other states, and this is by far the absolute worst.
I'm generally a great good reviewer, and love giving 5 star reviews, but it is an absolute disgrace to call this Indian food.
So we traveled about 40 minutes to come here. And it didn’t disappoint. I had the Butter Chicken (asked for spicy) and my husband had the Vindaloo. We sat in the restaurant alone and we were waited by the cook or what we think is the owner. Very friendly and hospitable. Food is cooked fresh and AUTHENTIC, something I must stress. This will be our new spot for Indian/Pakistani food. 10/10
My boyfriend and I absolutely loved this restaurant! The owner/chef took amazing care of us. We got the chicken curry, butter chicken and garlic butter naan. We also got an appetizer which was perfect. I highly recommend this hidden gem, and pray this restaurant gets more and more business!
this place is awesome!!!!! Ive never had Indian food but LOVE spicy stuff, and this takes the gold! The chicken curry is delicious and the naan bread is the best thing i’ve ever tasted. Customer service is great!!! even though it was short staffed, they still had exceptional customer service making my mom’s special day (birthday) even more special to her.
I am a regular and love the fact is near my home. You have to try different dishes. I order chicken biryani and it was good and delicious! Also I order something different than chicken dish and got Lamb Vindaloo So good!! Perfect and with the garlic naan ????????????????
Sooooo good. Everything is very fresh. The Naan is killer. If you’re looking for authenticity look no further!
Food was good but took forever to get it. Waited was new but kept busy with the phone ringing with to go orders. She was pleasant enough. We were the only ones in the restaurant and there was no music so it was eerily quiet.
DO NOT ORDER from this place. Go to Discovery Indian Cuisine on 19 in Palm Harbor. Their food is always amazing but ordered from Taste of Curry as they were closed. Food was tasteless. Chicken Korma was super runny, chutney may as well of been a ghost pepper, tandoori chicken was full of bone. All around terrible! I’m so much more thankful for Discovery Cuisine after experiencing this. Save your time folks
