The food there has been good no issue. However the service sucks! They are rude and this young boy in his early 20’s with glasses taking people’s orders makes expressions and noises while you order or if you ask him something about the plate or menu has mayor attitude.
It really matters to have the front person to be welcoming and hold a professional attitude.
I’m sure I can find another restaurant with good food and great service.
I wish I had taken the time to take photos, but instead, I just walked out. I ordered three tacos, rice, and beans and I basically got slop. The food I give to my pets has much better presentation than this place. It’s not a restaurant. It’s more fast food. You have to stand at the counter and order which is not a problem but when you get food that lacks any appeal, who wants to eat that? I took it to the counter and I questioned it and the employee said “Oh well, that’s just how it’s made.”
I didn’t touch it. I just left everything on the table and walked out. Wasted my time and money. It wasn’t worth arguing with them.
Food is great but the owner has gotten greedy. Charges $1 just to use a credit card and has raised the cost of a burrito to just under $16 and almost $5 for a soda. Loved coming here, but he is pricing himself out of his niche market...
I have come to the location a few times. I go for their Sanoran hotdogs. I get them fully loaded. I have to say that they have got to be the creators of the tastiest Sonoran hotdogs in Tucson. I have searched far and wide to find a restaurant that makes them with excellence. Jason's hit the mark for me.
They recently renovated their dining area, and I feel that the move was a good one as the changes have enhanced the ambiance of the lobby.
The only issue I have ever experienced with Jason's is that there is sometimes a wait for the food that is a little longer than I expected, even when there is no one else ordering.
Overall, Jason's is an excellent choice for getting Sonoran hotdogs. There is a great selection of Mexican cuisine on their menu that I must try in the future. Kudos to Jason's for awesome hotdogs!
Tacos were good, though not the best we've had in Tucson. Churros were way overpriced, but still a good, low-key experience. Worth checking out if you're in the area. Salsa verde was pretty tasty!
The reviews were promising but the food was disappointing. The grilled chicken tacos were seasoned with nothing but salt and pepper. I was expecting Mexican seasonings. My tacos were falling apart because the tortillas were super soggy. The beans were bland. I also got their fruit cup, the fruit was old and they put wayyy too much salt on it. don’t know how they have such great reviews
It had been several years since being there but was still absolutely perfect. Stopped in for an Horchata and some Mango Fresca!! Perfect for a warm day.
Not waiting long again for my next visit.
Burritos delicious as always but price has gone up. 30 bucks for 2 burritos. I think they might be pricing themselves out of business. Not sure if I can justify that cost. My husband's carne asada is pretty good too and free 99.
