Food was delicious, prices were aggressive. Meal and a beer was $25. In Mexico the same dish and beer would have been $5. California stricken
Awesome Mexican food! Great service! Some of the best carne asada, salsa and guacamole I've ever had.
A local family owned restaurant serving good food with good service in a welcoming atmosphere. My companions and I had just completed a winter snow camping excursion over the weekend and this was our first meal back from the wilderness. Met with prompt drink service and free chips and salsa. The menu was extensive and our food was prepared quickly, hot and delicious. What more could you ask for? A great dining experience. I recommend this establishment.
We had the carne asada tacos and the wet chili verde burrito. Both were really good and came super fast. My only complaint is that the food was not very warm. Our server, Elia, provided great service and made one of the best Margaritas I've ever had!
Nice decor with booths and comfortable padded chairs
Stopped by on our way to Tahoe. Great customer service. Delicious food. It's a little dark in the dining area and a very small restroom.
So there I was, hungry for a mean burrito and thirsty for a good brew. I went with the enchilada style carne asada burrito and the portion didn't disappoint! I also had a michelada that took my to flavor town! I've had micheladas all over and many get it wrong. This is dang near perfect!
I really wanted to like this place. It is conveniently located at a perfect point to stop for lunch between our trips to LA from Reno.
First the good: The hostess was really welcoming and lovely. Kitschy and interesting decor.
Unfortunately the bad: The good was uniformly mediocre with the Plato de Birria overly sour and lacking balance. The flautas were fried in oxidized oil and had an off flavor. So disappointing.
Really bad. Tácitos ‘stuffed’ with chicken: 4 Tiny hard corn straws stuffed with air. Hilarious. Some Rice and mashed beans to fill up 70% of the plate. Complete insult. Leave as soon as you taste the salsa water. Leave a small tip and be gone.
