Best WLM Reviews

Hands down the best pastor tacos I’ve ever had. It pairs good with a fresca. On my way back to California I’ll stop again.
My husband and I were passing through Tucson, and I was in the mood for tacos. I looked for a place that was right off the highway, and had good reviews. This place was perfect!
My husband got the quesadillas with beef and he loved them. I started with one Birria taco with cheese, and wound up ordering a second because it was so good! I love the sauce they serve with it, and that they offer all the fresh condiments on the side. Even though the taco really does stand alone and needs nothing on top of it to be perfect!
The family who owns it is lovely! I learned it’s owned by a mom, daughter & daughters husband all work there. They were all super sweet, and genuinely happy, good people. If we’re ever passing through Tucson, I would definitely support this local gem!
Employees are super friendly and on top of that the cabeza tacos are amazing! I will definitely visit this restaurant again and hopefully try something different. Two thumbs up for me…
First time ordering here. The cabeza was good along with the birria. The homemade tortillas definitely elevated the food. I would recommend
This is the best Birria I’ve had in a long time… if you remember Alfonso’s on 6th, it’s like that!! The salsas are really, really spicy so be careful. I love hot stuff and it was a bit too hot for me! But I still liked it!
The birria and cabeza are great, but it's not like it's difficult to find great birria or cabeza in Tucson. IMO there are a couple of things that set La Vaca apart from the pack:
- Bomb corn tortillas. There are a few other places in town that have a reputation for great corn tortillas, and El Corral de la Vaca should really be one of them. They're a little on the thick and hearty side, which makes them a great supporting player for...
- The Vacas: Big, ultra-thick quesatacos that need to be eaten with a fork and knife. These offensively decadent, meat sweat-inspiring dream boats are wrapped in one of those extra chewy tortillas, griddled crispy, and oozing cheesy beefy goodness out all sides. Hits just right with a little of the hot red salsa and some cilantro and onion.
- The decor: I love the cute, kitschy cow decor including a big mural and novelty napkin holders on all the tables
- The people: This place is run by really nice people who sell a fantastic product. I'm surprised that it took me so long to stop in here but I'll definitely be back
Hands down one of the best, if not the best Taco I have ever eaten in my life. The vaca birria taco is an absolutely piece of heaven in a corn tortilla. The corn tortillas are made fresh on site. I look forward to sharing this delightful culinary treat with my friends and family. If you love great food and great service stop by Taqueria La Vaca. See you there.
This is one of the best birria taco spot. But they do have other options as well. The Staff is very helpful and friendly as well.
