Homemade tortillas and the Tacos de barbacoa are the best! Street parking only which can be difficult to find.
The tacos al vapor are pricey but soooo worth it. I had not one but two consomes and a delicious taco de barbacoa. It was nice coming back after about 5 years and still being able to enjoy this whole in the wall with great tasty food.
On Sunday, March 12 I was in the Chiquita Taqueria in Richmond trying to eat some food.
The servers came up with bad attitude and then took my order, we were about 10 people on the table,
We wait approximately One hour in order to receive the food.
But they didn’t bring my food ????that was very frustrating because I was hungry. so I left my family on the table and then I went to eat someplace else. extraordinary non a good service
I’m not going back to that place and I would not recommend it to anybody else.
The best place to eat tacos al vapor. And the best barbacoa that I ever eaten so far. Update 2021.. still a nice place

Best in its class, if you happen to be in Oakland please visit this place if you love authentic homemade style food, specially on weekends, barbacoa. Birria, menudo, chamorros endless list, the neighborhood its somewhat not the best, and the place its a little hidden but what a gem I discovered, in my top of the list favorite places.
Amazing atmosphere, great food ( the tacos al vapor are incredible), owner and waitress were really kind. Will definitely be coming back
