La chela always has great food at a great price. They do discounted beers and dinner specials nightly. Highly recommend this hole in the wall spot
After reading the reviews we decided to order through Grubhub. When we got the food half the order was missing and my order of tamale dinner was horrible. There was one tamale and it was hard. I called and she said that I could pick up a new order. Unfortunately this wasn’t the best either. The girl was nice but the food was still not good like I expected.
Love this place! The staff is so kind and food is delicious. It’s ours favorite stop for tacos! ????

A neat little Mexican restaurant that truly embodies the definition of "hole in the wall." Unassuming on the outside, but the food is worth it! They have a larger back room for bigger groups. All food is made fresh and to order.
Neat place to eat! We loved eating here ee asked for 4 ground beef tacos and got some free ice and straws I love this place will definitely come back ????
Stopped in 45 minutes to close-unknowingly. They still offered us the option to dine in. I ordered the Steak burrito and tamarind juice. The steak was seasoned and chopped really well. The food was delicious and the service was excellent!
Definitely would not recommend trying Taqueria La Chela on E 38th and College.
Called to order carne asada and veggies. No rice, no beans, no tortillas. After the guy on the phone ask--- they tell me no. But, I can get a MEAL with carne asada, grilled chicken, zucchini, Tomatoes, onions and peppers. Comes w rice, beans, and tortillas but on the side. Also, sour cream, lettuce and pico.

.....and I'm pretty sure I paid EXTRA for the 2 items I didn't want to begin with. ????????????????????♀️
