Food wayyyy overpriced, my shrimp fajitas came with only 5 shrimp! The margarita was filled with salt in the bottom it was BAD. I had to send it back!...

Took the food to go... but these birria tacos were the best I've gotten from any restaurant. The al pastor were also very good!
Hands down the best little Mexican restaurant in Humboldt. A little difficult to find, if you're not familiar with the area, but we'll worth it. When you get there, ask Jason for his recommendation, the guy really knows his stuff and goes well out of his way to make sure you have a positive dining experience. And if all of this wasn't good enough, their prices are incredibly reasonable, especially nowadays.
I used to love this place and go all the time. I went here recently and got a few dishes. The ceviche was mostly all tomato with little to no shrimp, the veggie sope was bland and tasteless but could have been good with some seasoning or more flavorful beans, the veggie nachos were pretty decent.
Lastly, we got a super quesadilla burrito with shrimp for a later meal. However after reheating it the burrito was the completely wrong one and instead had pork and was not what I ordered at all which was a huge disappointment and waste of money given that I can't eat pork. Overall the dishes are hit or miss and check your orders before leaving the parking lot if you order to go.
Been in town for work and after a couple attempts at Mexican restaurants I finally found a good one. The staff is super nice here and take real good care of everybody. I've made it a weekly visit while I'm here for work and highly recommended for anybody visiting Arcata.
We passed by the taco truck several times and thought that it worth a try. Found out that they started as trucks before opening up as a brick and mortar.
We went to the taco truck then ordered chicken and carne asada tacos. Guac was extra. The tacos are a smidge bigger than street tacos. We devoured it as soon as we got home.
Best dine-in taqueria in NorCal. Street tacos, birria, tamales and tortas are all amazing. Gluten free and dairy free options are generally the default here.
Always great food and never left feeling hungry. Food is authentic and has a lot of flavor, can be spicy to people that are sensitive to food with heat.
