Nice local Hispanic restaurant. Chips, salsa and guacamole were good. Ordered chicken and steak enchiladas. The tortillas were too thick for me, took away from the overall enjoyment of the dish. A little more flavor would’ve helped too.
Very delicious street tacos! They have great selections. Try the Cachete (beef cheek) and the Campechano tacos, you'll be glad you did! Also, the Agua Frescas are some of the best around and not too sweet like others. Also, they provide seating for their guests, which was such a welcome touch in the heat.
The staff was very friendly and happy to talk with you. Tacos are my go-to when trying a new truck. I ordered campechano, pastor, and asada tacos. They were good, but could use a bit more flavor especially the pastor. However, they were packed.
There’s what, a dozen taco trucks or more over the mountain? And who knows how many in the birmingham metro all together.
So, which one is the best?
For me, this is it. The fact they have beef cheek is enough for me, but the flavors and price is all perfect. Complete with authentic cooks and ingredients, this is the taco truck for you.
Located next to costas off Lorna, this is absolutely the best taco truck. The green sauce is killer, but don’t stray far from the extra hot as well. Use them as a combo.
They do have a few tables for seating, as well. So if you have time to eat there as the weather starts to improve, it is an option.
The food here is so good and authentic! I’ve ate at a lot of these trucks but this one is the best hands down! The people who run it have the best attitude and are so nice. I will go out my way if In the area to get me some steak tacos and those grilled onions! Omg
