Overall, our experience was okay. We walked in and weren’t greeted so we sat ourselves. In the back.
We ordered drinks & got the drinks after a few minutes, with the exception of some water. We placed our food order around 2:20pm. After 20 minutes of getting the other drinks, we asked for the cup of water again and a server with a bow (not our server but she was super friendly!) helped us out.
We got half our order around 3:10pm and the fries were cold. After another 10 minutes we got the other half of the order. Everything was delicious! The chilaquiles were my favorite, they’re a little spicy but the sauce was well balanced and authentic. Their horchata is also delicious.
I think it’d be best to visit at a non-peak time if you want eager service that matches the price point. We didn’t get checked up on by our server until we were already finished eating.
It was my first time and we had no idea if we seat ourselves or wait for a worker to seat us. We continued to wait until I got the attention of a worker to assist and got us seated. Restaurant was super packed but we ordered our food and waited over 30 mins. I got carne burrito and it was probably one of the most disappointing burritos I have ever had. It was small for the price and lacked flavor. You can see how the excess tortilla is just squeezed in there which means not enough filling inside. Rice and beans felt like a kid’s size portion. Also tried a pork pupusa and it was mostly cheese. Best thing I had was the horchata. My expectations were high after looking at reviews but definitely was a disappointment. Maybe just a bad day but we’ll see if we come back.
One of the most authentic Mexican food I had in SC.
Beef tongue taco was phenomenal, meat was very tender and delicious! The other dish I had was amazing, too. The green sauce chips was well seasoned and paired with cheese on top.
Service was great, the waitress was not very good at English but she tried her best to serve us and checked the order twice to make sure there are no issues.
The food is so good, and the salsa they bring to the table with the chips is fresh and homemade. Highly recommend. The tacos we ordered we specified no cilantro, typically they do cone with cilantro so keep that in mind when viewing the photo.
Really good totally authentic the tacos were fantastic the wife and kid loved their empanadas and pupusas. The service was fast and very high quality. The restaurant was very clean and they were very busy but still a peaceful environment. You can really tell that the owners take alot of pride in this place and really enjoy good food.
The food was delicious and the employees were super nice. It was our first time here so we were a little lost. I had the empanadas and churros. The chicken empanada with only chews was delicious! My husband had a burrito and a pupusa. The burritos are gigantic so I don’t recommend getting anything else besides that. The mango juice was alright. I didn’t like it as much but it was the best homemade juice they had. I fully recommend this place. Not much space I side so it might not be good for groups bigger than 8 people. Oh and you have to have the. Churros. They were amazing.
Finally an authentic and friendly, inexpensive real life Taqueria in Myrtle Beach! I only speak English and they treated me very kind and was able to get my order correct, unlike most places in town. Food is tasty, made quick and fresh. Very impressed.
