Best WLM Reviews
This is like a slice of heaven for me. The flavors are incredibly delicious. The atmosphere and decor are brilliant and beautiful. I opted for a low-carb lunch and politely declined the complimentary chips and tortillas. I can't recommend this place enough. It's just that good!
Visiting from Wa State. Local UPS man suggested this place to us. Said his friend owns it. So glad we took his recommendations. Delicious!! Hands down best Mexican food I've had in a long time. My husband and I shared the beef/chicken/shrimp Molcajete & chicken torta. Salsa bar is great. Authentic cuisine. Best dish I've ever ate. The sauce was soooo tasty. Big portion!!
Local UPS driver recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Beef chicken and shrimp molcajetes was the best I have had. Glad I live in a different state or I would be a weekly customer.
Took a chance to come to this restaurant and it was really all hype from the recommendations I got for it. First customer service is everything, sat down and waited for about 10minutes and no one mentioned i was supposed to walk up to the counter and order from there. The girl in the counter gave a rude vibe and looked like she didn't even want to do her job. Now to the food, ordered a mixed plate and the chicken, and beef was too small portioned and very thin and hard to chew. The rice was pretty good in my opinion but the refried beans tasted like they were canned and not fresh made. Overall I wouldn't visit again. Other people may have different opinions but take this with a grain of salt.
My recent visit to Taqueria El Compadre had its ups and downs. The location in the shopping center is convenient for other places you may like to visit, and the atmosphere during my Tuesday evening visit was pleasant and uncrowded. The hostess was friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, my experience with the cashier fell short.
There were some communication mishaps. My order included a chicken salad that was completely forgotten, despite being confirmed by the cashier. While the hostess apologized for the mistake, the cashier didn't acknowledge it or offer any apologies. Additionally, I wasn't informed about grabbing my own cup for water, leading to an unnecessary wait in line again.
The food itself was decent. The three street tacos I ordered were average, neither exceptional nor disappointing. However, considering the service issues, the overall value falls short.
Would I return? Highly unlikely. The convenient location and pleasant atmosphere are tempting, but I'd hope for more consistent and attentive service next time. If you do visit, make sure to clarify your order thoroughly and grab your own drink cup to avoid any communication gaps.
Came here last night with friends. Food was really good. Steak probably could have had a little bit of seasoning but over all everyone loved the food. Issue was with the girl at the register, she was super rude to us. And besides that There was no sauces so I asked if I was able to get some sauce from the fridge since they didn’t have any anymore and our server looked at the other girl to make sure it was okay and she said oh no those are for DoorDash but had the biggest attitude could have said it nicer so I told her will you guys close at 10 which one 9:20ish. So definitely need to work on customer service.
I would really like to love this place, but the food is truly inconsistent. We have been at this taceria 4 times since moving to Modesto. First time for lunch and it was okay. 2nd time for dinner and it was outstanding. Enough so, that we returned yesterday 04/10/24 at around 7pm my wife and l both had two tacos (carnitas and asada, rice and beans) the asada tasted cooked, not fried on a grill and the carnitas was dry and more like el pastor. Both items were super salty.
I realize not every cook handles food the same, but consistency is the key to a good restaurant or taceria.
I put the date and time down, so perhaps the owner will check in to, who was cooking that day.
I truly hope you will view my post for what it was meant, constructive. If it was malicious, l would have given one star!
Thank you
A very beautiful restaurant, staff is very friendly.. overall is clean as well. The food is so delicious. I recommend it.
