Based on the favorable reviews, we drove from our hotel in Donaldsonville to this Mexican restaurant. It was a good decision, now we can say it. ????
Kind and very fast service. The kitchen prepared very fresh food and extremely quickly. Tuesdays are "taco day", when this specialty is offered at a reasonable price. ????
The only thing we didn't like was the atmosphereless interior, with the many black chairs...
I had a taste for some Mexican cuisine today, and decided to try this place. First off, this is authentic Mexican food. I got three tacos with beef, chicken, and DRUM ROLL PLEASE ????????... COW TONGUE!!!! My first time trying it, and I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was!! It's not something I would eat all the time, but I would definitely try it again, prepared differently. The rice and beans were good as well. Pretty neat place with a nice atmosphere!!
Horrible do not recommend we’re extremely rude upon entry as well as until leaving much better option available should you choose . Poc DO NOT recommend whatsoever. All other patrons were welcomed properly though so you may use at leisure
When I transferred to Cali, a majority of our meals were from 2 taquerias. Authentic, homey, hole in the wall spots that most wouldn’t think to try (one had drive thru micheladas.) When I decided to move South, my family relocated from Mississippi to the smallest town in Louisiana.
I was so worried I wouldn’t find another spot like my prior favorites. I relocated to Gonzales and let me tell you, I did not expect Don Beto’s. My go to is their gorditas (lengua, barbacoa, and tripita). I crave those damn things. They are absolutely addicting but I may be slightly bias because they offer my mandatory meat preferences lmao. Anyways, clearly you can tell I love to eat and give absolute credit where it is due and highly deserved.
Best authentic Mexican food! They have the best tacos with grilled onions! The guacamole dip with their chips is over the top, best I ever had!!! Fresh ingredients!!!! Atmosphere is very clean and friendly!!!! Homemade sauces are great!!! Would highly recommend!!!!!
Exceptionally fresh, authentic, and flavorful Mexican food served quickly by friendly faces makes Taqueria Don Beto II delightful. I was tempted to dock them a star, because I had to repeat my order a few times to get it right and I was expecting lower prices, but the order came out perfectly and the quality of the food makes the experience worth every penny.
Easily the most authentic food in the area! Very delicious and the quality of the staff is top notch!
This restaurant is top notch. Every time I think I found my favorite dish I try something new and have a new favorite! Authentic Mexican!!!
