The meat needs more seasoning and overall quality is average. In a pinch, a taco dinner can satisfy dinner cravings but the rice will be dry.
This 'Taqueria' should consider putting more flavor into thier dishes, otherwise its just cooked ingredients......which is not what you expect in Mexican food.
Small little business right on the corner. Authenic mexican food. Their Al Pastor is sliced off of a spit and it is marinated perfectly with lots of sweet flavors. They have many uncommon taco toppings like chicharrón (pork skin) which is delicious. Their Mexican rice is flavored well. They serve chips and beans instead of salsa.
Best tacos in Chicago the steak tacos are actually real skirt steak ???? now that's quality in my book at least your getting what you pay delicious and the marinated pork aka Al pastor is so so good can't wait to come back ????
I got the taco dinner. The only downside is that you only get to choose one meat. The size and the flavor of the tacos do not reflect the price. This is what a $20.00 taco combo should be and for less then 15.00 even with a $2.00 tip! I will definitely be eating here again soon! Five stars, two thumbs up and a spill on the shirt delicious
I was really excited to try this place, but was unfortunately met with disappointment. My boyfriend and I decided on this place for a last minute dinner and walked in about 20 minutes before they closed. This is what we were given. Tacos that are sloppily thrown together and submerged in rice. I don’t know if this was done purposely because we walked in last minute, but this is unacceptable. Tacos were okay. Could use more flavor.

I'm not quite sure why people love this place, but I'm not reviewing this in some reactionary way. It's decent service, fairly generous portions, and affordable mediocre food. I've tried maybe five meals here and it's all just "eh" and I think I'm done now hoping for something better. I don't think I've ever cleared my plate or taken leftovers home. Edgewater Mexican Cafe is better and pretty close by, but a good deal more expensive. I haven't tried the shop across Broadway, so that might happen soon; it's supposed to be good.
Very good tacos. Lots of meat and filling. Asada was above average, but I really enjoyed the Carnitas Taco! Prices were fair, especially compared to the other Mexican restaurants nearby. Waitress was really friendly. I'll be back to try more.
