From the outside it doesn’t look like much but walk inside and it’s the best diner you ever been too . The food is fantastic . I have had the big breakfast, the steak tacos, the pork cutlet and a mushroom hamburger . They were just fantastic. Plus the most friendly staff you will ever meet. Definitely a must try I did and I’m hooked.
Went there for thanksgiving dinner and it was amazing.totally home made better than mom.
Its a great little place in a historical little town. The food is amazing! Beautiful decor in a historic downtown building. And they have specials everyday. The meatloaf is the bomb! Salads are great! Love the nacho Supreme, its best in southern illinois that ive found!

For people who dont know about golconda, thats a small town located in southern illinois, located near shawnee national forest.
Tannys grill is one of the good places in town, we got our lunch and dinner packed from here and I must food was good.
Tried their chicken wrap, veggie pizza.
Fast and reliable service, server was really kind.
Definitely recommend.

I had the French Dip and breaded mushrooms. So good!!!! I can't wait to come back and try something else. The hubby had the Double Bacon Cheeseburger, he said it was very good as well.
I love the home cooking.. reminds me of childhood meals and family get togethers .. friendly staff and owners always going above and beyond to make sure that you are well taken care of.

Ride or drive to a quaint little town called Golconda and stop in at Tanny's Grill and Chill, near the Ohio River. The menu is great and includes breakfast. Tanny always has daily specials too, which include homemade sides and even homemade dressings for your salad. My favorite there is the huge pork tenderloin sandwich, but have never eaten anything there I didn't like. Tanny and the staff are great; she even posed with us in our pic!!!!! Make this place a stop on your travels thru Southern Illinois.
