Has become the premier breakfast spot in the area since it opened and for good reason. Ive been here a few times and it blows me away. Everything on the menu is amazing.
The pancakes are fluffy with the perfect touch of flavor. All of the sandwiches have the perfect combo of flavor and texture. Can’t go wrong with any of the omelettes. My favorite is the Boardwalk Benny: Delicious.
Friendly staff and great food. Definitely give it a try.
Had the pleasure to visit Tank and Libby’s in Drexel Hill. I recommend making reservations for Sunday breakfast. We were seated right away even though there was a long line.
We were very lucky to have Stacy as our waitress. Was very excited to hear about the history of the restaurants owners, which both went to culinary school. One of the owners went to my alma mater Culinary Institute of America. The restaurant was packed and every table was filled. I’d say a very successful eatery. Even the atmosphere was nice and friendly. I’d recommend there pancakes. You will be stuffed!! I ordered The Grateful Dad(SOS). It didn’t disappoint. It sold me at Béchamel sauce. Even the coffee was strong and hot. One recommendation is to come hungry, as you most likely will leave with leftovers. Nothing better than late night leftovers!!
This was my second time coming here (this time I brought my kids along) Our food was delicious. The french toast is very sweet but tolerable. I forgot that the portions were hefty, so we all left with boxes to go. I arrived around 12:40 p.m. on. a Saturday (Memorial Weekend) and the dining area was about 60% occupied. I hope the next time I come isn't as busy too.
The food was excellent...the service was excellent....I got The Tank with a side order of cheesy grits but I definitely wanna try the shrimp and grits next time. Me and my girlfriends went for breakfast/lunch and we weren't disappointed
Arrived at 11– was told there was an hour wait. Fair enough. At 11:45 we were told the table was ready. Great.! However, we were left standing for an additional 5 to 10 minutes while “ the table was being cleared,” and we were left standing in the entryway as our seats had already been taken by other people -which was difficult for two members of our party, who walk with canes. We are seated and are orders taken within five minutes or less. Order: shrimp and grits., eggs with a side of Scrapple, two orders of pancakes, and one “Hippy hash”. Our drinks were brought out shortly after, then — 40 - 45 minutes later, we finally received our order. We ate and talked for maybe half an hour (it was so loud, however, that we had trouble hearing each other). Finally, we requested containers to take home the uneaten portions (the portion size is way too large… maybe smaller portions and lower prices?). We boxed the leftovers and were getting ready to say our goodbyes to each other— and we’re told to “wrap it up” by a server/waitress as they “need our table.” Really? If we had been served promptly, we would have been long gone. 40 - 45 minutes to wait for our food seemed rather long. And being given the bums rush, was absolutely tacky. At this point it was almost 1 o’clock; I realize you close at 1:30 and probably had people waiting… that shouldn’t have been our problem, however.
So, so good! I had been there a couple years ago and remember it was amazing then too. But today I got the Apple challah French toast and side of scrapple. DELISH! And our server, Madeline (I think) was also an absolute delight. I think this is gonna be my go-to breakfast spot.
This restaurant has a wonderful menu. The food is delicious. Their biscuits are so good! The potato hash is so flavorful made with potato chunks. Eggs cheesy when I order them. I have seen the pancakes and french toast on others plates and it makes you eyes pop, it looks so good! They aren't open everyday so get there early when you go. It's small and cozy but they have outside dining for warmer months. They open at 8am so we try to get there by 8:30 on weekdays we are off. The weekend is a wait so we don't go then. If you haven't been, please go. Friendly staff, great food, neighborhood restaurant. Deserving of 5+ stars. Truly one of my favorites. Good prices.
Have been coming here for a few years - can find something for different taste, diet and mood:) sometimes it gets busy, but service is still quick and attentive.
This time we tried Libby’s special pancake for dessert - worth the wait!???? of course, it was finished before anyone remembered to snap a photo????♀️
