Best WLM Reviews

Just had a meal to remember at Tanglewood in the Comstock Inn! The spinach dip was top-notch, but the real stars were the chef's special chicken and black bean egg rolls. The combination of flavors was incredible, especially when dipped in the zesty jalapeño ranch. Our good fortune continued beyond the meal as we hit a win on keno. And the service? Unbeatable. Warm, welcoming, and always on point. Tanglewood isn’t just a meal out, it’s a culinary event. Highly recommend for an amazing experience all around!
I ordered the Rosemary chicken, it had rosemary needles, for the lack of a better description, as the "crust" on the chicken. That was off putting and not great on the plate. The garlic mashed potatoes were bland and dry. The server/bartender was nice, but not really friendly. She didn't ask me how my meal was, but asked the patrons next to me, who are obvious regulars. When she asked if I wanted a box, I stated, "no, it's not that great. I'll take me check please". She brought me my check and said, "have a nice night". The atmosphere was fine, there were only a few people on a Thursday evening and everyone were regulars sitting at the bar. I won't be back, nor will I recommend. The emptiness should have been a red flag and I should have read the reviews, but I do like to give the benefit of the doubt. Lesson learned.
The $34 ribeye was terrible (See the photo) The southern fried chicken sandwich was ok. The chicken bacon ranch wrap made my stomach hurt. Sent the steak back and they didn’t seem to care. The waitress gave us her discount to apologize that we “didn’t like it”
Service was ok. If you only go for drinks you might be ok.
Would not recommend.
Went at 9pm on a Monday so we weren’t expecting them to be at their best but I was pleasantly surprised. I got the fish and chips with a cup of broccoli cheddar soup and my husband got the Southern Cali club sandwich.
The waitress prefaced when she brought my soup that it was the end of the night so if my soup was gnarly, just let her know and they’d get me something else. The soup was super salty (expected, as it cooks down during the day) but really had a great flavor.
My fish was overdone somewhat and oddly chewy; I nearly always get fish and chips at every restaurant and I’ve never had cod with that sort of consistency, almost like scallops. It wasn’t bad but I’ve had better. The Tartar sauce was, truthfully, absolutely vile. I don’t know what they put it in it, or if it is store bought, maybe even past the date, but I had to actually keep the lid on it.
My husband loved his sandwich (he implicitly said it made him want to come back to try other menu items) and both of us had really great fries. Perfect amount of crunchy and soft, nicely salted.
Had a fish dinner and it was left in the deep fryer to long . But I thought it tasted great
What a train wreck of an experience. Just before 6pm Monday we sit down at a nearly empty restaurant. We’re very excited to try this place out…. It’s very warm and welcoming decor.
After waiting 5 min to be seated or even acknowledged.. Amber seats us and will be our server.
Each trip to and from our table is like 10-15 min of waiting. Finally we get apps in… listen everything just takes FOREVER.
15 min for a cocktail… I swear our apps took 35 min and then after an HOUR I’m like the kid has school like I need this to go… 15 min to bring me the bill
I was here for almost 2 hours… spent $100 and got cold food that died in te window but I really did have to go so I just got it Togo and paid and left. Someone needs to see what’s up that place could be great.
Steak bites are the toughest cut of beef..: cheese dip for pretzels would be good if ANYTHING WAS HOT!
Terrible.
Horrible experience and would not recommend them! We called days ahead to make a reservation for a group of 14 (family get together) and were told they were fully booked for that day and had been for months. We were told to stop in anyways since we were staying in the attached hotel. We stopped in around 2p and they were completely empty. They were expecting a party of 30 at 3pm and wanted to turn us away. They told us if we ordered by 230p we'd be fine. We had our orders all ready at that time and placed the order. They had 1 server who barely spoke to us and was clearly irritated. Our food was served separately for the next hour n a half. Never once did we get refills or asked how the food was. Food was overcooked, tasted horrible, and small portions. We made the best of it and went about our way. That night they started karaoke and had drunk people in the bar making all sorts of noise. At midnight we finally had to call the desk and ask when they were going to stop karaoke bc we had kids trying to sleep (the restaurant is connected to the hotel and right below the rooms) so they turned the volume down. Horrible experience and will not return!
Clean restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Staff friendly. Coffee was bitter and too strong (burnt, maybe?) Cesar salad had very thick, salty dressing, glopped on the top (not tossed in lightly). Rosemary chicken had too much olive oil on the plate and no texture left to the bed of spinach. Disappointed.
