Great employees! I am a Chicago conductor's grand-daughter and an avid train fan. I come to the railyard with my parrot who loves trains too and we watch them shunt about for an hour! Love it ♥️
Great place to Railfan at also gives you a lot of cool things to do.
WHY do they operate the trains in the middle of rush hour traffic when people are trying to get to work or school? SAD

Pretty much all of Tampa's rail freight passes through this yard. Good spot for railfans due to several railroad crossings around the area. Under the Orient Road bridge is decent too, just don't go past the bridge.
Yes, trains do get quite long in Tampa, and due to major crossings in close proximity to this yard, trains can block crossings for several minutes. Just remember... even though the train may be annoying, those trains carry all of our important goods!

Train stuck on the r&r track..been sitting here for 45mins waiting on them
I used the secret entrance to get in. The Oysters Rockefeller were superb, followed by Shrimp Scampi. This is a class act place. Please don't feed the track inspectors!
