We stopped by at lunch and wasn’t super busy.
We ordered the sausage and pepper sub and the eggplant sub. Both were excellent.
The food came out quick and was almost too hot to eat. You could tell it was just cooked.
Service was efficient and Tony our waiter was very nice and attentive.
This will not be our last time coming, next time for dinner. The pasta dishes look great!
Food is delicious. A little pricey for a strip mall restaurant but they don't serve alcohol so that is understandable. I got the lasagna and my daughter got the chicken Alfredo. Both were really good and it came with a small salad and warm bread. Cost $52 after a 20% tip.
Follow up! I went back and they serve wine and beer. A glass of red wine went perfectly with that awesome lasagna.
The best Italian around! The lunch menu is affordable and the dishes are delicious! We had the lasagna and the fettuccine alfredo. So good!
This place was recommended to us by a family member, and it DID NOT disappoint. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the sauce was utterly phenomenal, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming.
We had only had our salads for a few minutes when the entrees came out, and my husband and I were talking about how good and high quality the food was the entire time, and even long after we left!
If you’re in the area (and even if you aren’t!), absolutely give this place a go. Authentic Italian at its finest!
I would not recommend Tamburro’s and will not be returning myself. This was my first visit and the chicken fettuccine Alfredo was horrendous. The sauce was oily not creamy, the chicken had no brown color to it at all. The chicken looked like it had been boiled and cut into chunks. Thick fat chunks of unappealing chicken. The chicken looked so bad, I did not take it home to our dog. And if the food wasn’t bad enough, the wait staff for our table had terrible body odor. It was a total waste of $40.
We did not choose to stay to eat inside... the ambiance feels more like a Subway or a fast food joint than an actual restaurant. The employees were very friendly and attentive, but personally if I'm going to eat out, I expect a bit more than what is offered here. May i suggest more comfortable ambient lighting, chairs that aren't better suited for a graduation ceremony and a wine selection that compliments your menu? Maybe try to emulate Amore down 280 or Gianmarcos in Homewood? Just a thought. We ordered take out. The food was....meh ok. We added cheesecake for dessert and I kid you not, it wasn't much bigger than my index finger... no joking.. I dont see this place lasting long. Too bad.. We were hoping for a great nearby Italian place and we prefer to support local mom & pops. But this isnt going to cut it unfortunately. And no, I did not review the wrong restaurant. See the receipt
Food was enjoyable. Service was great. Worth a try if you're in the area.
My friend and i came here to eat after getting caught in the rain while hiking. We were soaking wet and a little dirty but we were immediately greeted and seated. The waitress did a great job and timed our meal well. All of the food was delicious: bread with seasoned butter, fresh side salad, fried cheese sticks, cheese ravioli with meat sauce, and chicken parm sandwich with fries. Portions were great and it is very reasonably priced. I can't wait to come back!
