Best WLM Reviews
We had a great time here! The food came out really fast. Portions were large and everything tasted great.
Best part was the large windows overlooking the river. Made for a great stop.
Love that there's a coffee shop here too!
This was an interesting place overlooking the river. It is a local 1960 style diner with a broad menu of home cooked meals. Tonight they had a special t-bone steak which the wife and I enjoyed. It was cooked well but a bit overseasoned but a good value for the price. The service was a bit slow but friendly. This is one of the better eateries in this town.
Tamarisk is located just by the river and has a sitting area and small item shop in the entry area. There is a drink counter as well just beyond the restaurant counter. We ordered the turkey bacon avocado sandwich with potato wedges and the green chili burger with fries to go. The burger and sandwich were delicious and cooked well. The wedges were good and the fries were coated and also good but mixed on which was better. Worth a stop when in the area and has a good variety of food.
The hostess and servers were knowledgeable and polite, food was hot and delicious, so much so that I almost forgot to take pictures. The Navajo Fry Bread was by far the best, yet unexpected part of the meal. The bread was soft and warm, and the jams were incredibly delicious, particularly the strawberry which is not usually my favorite, but wow… A must try for sure. Loved the variety offered on the menu, as it was a refreshing change from others in southern Utah. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and didn’t have room for dessert, however, we wanted to try the cinnamon roll and our lovely server offered to pack it up with the cream cheese in a separate container so that we could enjoy it in the morning. Tamarisk did not disappoint, in fact it far surpassed expectations, and I would definitely visit again!
I was in town for a few days for work. Great little restaurant that does get packed, so go early. The views of the river while eating were spectacular. The Bald Eagle on the island eating its catch was a wonderful bonus.
They had a steak special the first night, A little over seasoned but it was still pretty good. I had the Patty Melt the second night and that blew me away. I love a good Patty Melt and this place really does it up.
On the other side, they have a coffee shop and also sell local handmade items and candies etc. I asked if she could make me a Chocolate Coconut Mocha Frappe which wasn't on the menu and she knocked it out of the park!!!
Definitely give this place a stop if you're ever in the area. Great staff made this place even better.
I enjoyed this place. The place was clean and warm and like a typical hometown diner. I had the chicken fried steak and it was decent. The real thing of note here were the servers. They were really nice, checked on our table with reasonable frequency, and even answered some questions about the area.
Great food. Honestly, surprised at how good. Fresh, good sized portions, friendly staff. Plenty of options to choose from. Great flavor.
Fish tacos, Reuben and Navajo frybread salad. ALL were great.
Wonderful place to relax and enjoy a meal while taking in the view of Green River flowing right outside the window. A short wait may be required. But, it is well worth it. Service is prompt and friendly. The food is great. I had the Bacon & Blue Cheese Burger, while my wife enjoyed the open-faced hot roast beef sandwich. Both were delicious. My burger was cooked to order and seasoned perfectly. My wife's sandwich was tender and juicey served with plenty of gravy. We were just passing through and discovered this gem of a restaurant. Don't miss it!
