This place us going down hill. The chill seems hotter and hotter. I asked for a sunny side egg and I got burnt and hard. The staff never seems happy you are there.
This place has a killer menu and the world's best pork green chili. Not a crummy corporate operation, just family owned for many, many decades
I prefer homemade Mexican food. However, when we do order out, I love going to Tamale Kitchen. We always have at least 5 people typically 6 or 7 for dinner. They have family packs that are decently priced and have plenty of food. We typically spend around $80 and get the middle family pack. We usually have enough left over for a few lunches as well.
This location has been consistent since I’ve started visiting. They can have an off day or2 but that’s usually because of staff.
I 4got 2get a Frito Pie ???? whilst I was there & so I’ll have2 make my way back soon.
I’m willing 2say if U try this location U won’t be disappointed.

I got the #6 combo and my kids got the tamales and the food was so good! Definitely my new go to for good spicy Mexican food.
The OG Tamale Kitchen serves up a decent, affordable standard of CO style Mexican food. Their family meals make life easy when you need it. Breakfast burritos are solid as well. The orange chile is def a Denver thing, and their recipe is respectable as are the tamales. Neither will blow you away though.
It's totally fine for a pick-up/food counter type experience.
Staff is efficient enough but I probably wouldn't describe them as outright friendly or solicitous.
Yummy food. Very popular locally. Smells outrageously good during lunch and dinner. Always a couple of people in line or waiting.
Just a counter-style place and some obligatory booths and tables make up a very sparse dine-in experience, wouldn't recommend actually eating here. Also the parking lot is pretty wrecked and potholed. But Denver so.
Recommend for local Mexican takeout or delivery, particularly over pricier sit-down options.
I went here on a recommendation. I ordered a mexican egg roll and two chile relleno with cheese on top and 2 jarito sodas. Total was $18. Expensive for what I got. They gave me the chile rellenos covered in sauce. I asked her to redo it because I just wanted cheese. The person at the register didn’t seem upset to do it. When she called me back up and I opened the replacement it was two tiny flat chile rellenos with shredded cheese on top and they were cold. I told the girl then threw it away. I wouldn’t come here again.
