Update: still 5 stars! Gorgeous venue! LIVE music, Same deliciousness and always a treat! ????????♾
Sabrina was so beyond wonderful! And female chef curates superb rw menu!
2 years ago ????Big, very high ceiling spacious and a true beauty of a venue. Unique and delicious small plates and entrees for sharing. Had a big yummy dinner & brunch here dining in with my jeans and twice solo at the bar. Wonderful cocktails and wine selection. Great friendly staff.
what a culinary experience! went for restaurant week. everything was so yummy. the dishes are so creative. we wanted to try everything.
Loved the Kare Kare Noodles. excellent twist putting it on noodles and you can taste that there was coconut milk in the sauce which is very different.
the tandoori chicken with biryani rice balls was also very delicious. nice twist on Indian food. chicken had a lot of flavor. and the sauces that it came with were good
all the desserts were also yummy. the best one is the 5G. it doesn't look like much but it's a big O in the mouth once you take the 1st bite. I would go back to eat those anyway. that dessert is everything
This place is pretty cool. It’s very spacious and very open. The afternoon rush is around 1pm on Sunday’s, anything before that, you are good. My fiancé ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and Waffles and I got the Chinese Steamed Egg Bao. The chicken has a kick to it but it wasn’t too spicy. The syrup for the waffles are AMAZING. Very light and not too sweet. The Steamed egg bao was pretty filling, much to my surprise. The Siracusa ketchup for the tots were actually delicious and not too spicy.
The service could have been more prompt which is why I gave a 4 star rating, but still a great place for brunch!
This place is really cool!!! I love the decor. The crab fried rice is a must!!! We also tried the salmon which was delish! This place would also be great with a group of friends or just a casual date. Will definitely be returning.
Talde is a nice asian-infused restaurant with a great ambience. The food is and drinks are great. My wife and I ordered blue crab fried rice, a Thanksgiving inspired ramen noodle dish, fried squash dumplings and fried cauliflower. My only issue with Talde is price. $20 for rice (while the rice is still a large portion) seems a bit steep. Overall, good spot in downtown Jersey City.
My wife and I had dinner at Talde and had a wonderful evening. The atmosphere is contemporary in design and has a good vibe. We ate a few different appetizers and shared an entree, everything was excellent and tasted great. The cocktails we had were unique and flavorful as well. The staff was attentive and courteous. I would recommend eating here and will for sure return.
Taking a visit to Talde has turned into a yearly pilgrimage for our group of friends. Every time that we go, the staff steps it up another notch and we end up leaving with a smile on our face and a full belly. This time around, we got a few dishes we have not tried before and every dish was perfect. Our server, J, was amazing. She pampered to our group’s allergies, never let our drinks get empty, and had us laughing the entire time.
The plating is always fantastic, the quality fantastic, and the atmosphere is lively and fun.
The dishes we got this time (and split between the 6 of us) were:
Kimchi Fried Rice
Breakfast Ramen
Kung Pao Chicken and Waffles
Brunch Board
The Kimchi Fried rice comes out in an intimidatingly heavy pot, filled with tender Galbi Beef, crisp bean sprouts, and the egg is cooked to perfection.
The Breakfast ramen is (in comparison) simple, but flavor wise, the broth shines through. It’s a murky, heavy, rich broth that envelopes the thin noodles, all topped with a 6-minute gooey egg. This one will sneak up on you and fill you up faster than you expect.
The Kung Pao Chicken comes out with an impressive amount of crispy, perfectly fried chicken covered in a spicy, savory sauce. These are laid next to a bed of waffles and a side of coconut brown butter syrup. Honestly, the flavor combos here are hard to beat. Sweet, Savory, umami; you got it all.
Finally, we come to the brunch board. On paper, I questioned how filling this could be. Our server promised it would deliver and oh man, did it deliver. The board comes in as a massive cutting board filled with food. The Scotch egg is crispy, then soft, savory, then a little sweet, all topped with a slightly spicy (black pepper) aioli. The Taylor ham (pork roll, thank you) is some of the thickest cut I’ve ever experience. Perfectly crispy, fall apart in your mouth, everything you could ever imagine. The ube bread (I had never had this before) was sweet, doughy, and fun. This thing had me filled for the day AND I had left overs.
If you get a chance and you haven’t stopped here for brunch, you need to stop by. It’s well worth the money and beyond worth your time.
The lunch menu is quite good but the dinner menu is very limited.
Service is all right... Takes longer than other places to get your orders.
The food is good, a little expensive, and the portions are larger than average.
The interiors are beautiful and the bar area is huge.
