Best WLM Reviews

This is a comfortable place to eat within a small town in a picturesque landscape. The food is average, but so are the prices. My wife and I drove an hour to try Taggart’s grill because it came as highly recommended. I suggest that you temper your expectations and see for yourself. For an appetizer we had the Artichoke dip with pita bread and tortilla chips. $10.99. The dip was great, but the tortilla chips weren’t-they were a generic store bought brand. The pita bread likewise was not impressive. My wife had the Chicken enchilada with black beans and Spanish rice. 15.99. She wasn’t impressed. I had the Garlic Blue Cheese burger with fries. I liked my entree, and felt the fries were pretty good. $13.99. Considering everything I feel Taggart’s has average food nestled in a beautiful location. The scenic drive there is beautiful.
We haven't been here in years and we're driving though so we stopped in as it's just off the freeway in a beautiful Morgan canyon. My husband ordered the bacon cheeseburger and fries, I had a chicken salad with a small bowl of creamy chicken artichoke soup. The hamburger was fairly good size and served fresh with a side of french fries. My soup was served hot and was very flavorful. My salad was delicious!
While you're waiting to be seated you are looking right at the desserts that they offer which are made daily and are absolutely amazing as well. We ordered the strawberry cheesecake. Service by John was amazing and quick. This restaurant is small but beautiful. They also offer patio seating that is completely enclosed so you are able to see a beautiful waterfall & a couple of colorful peacocks. They offer a fairly good size menu, Taggart's did not disappoint, food with the a view!
Stopped in and gave Taggart's a try on a heavy snowy day just off the freeway in a beautiful Morgan canyon. If you blink you'll miss it and you'll be sorry! I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries, my wife had a chicken salad with a small bowl of creamy chicken artichoke soup. My hamburger was of fairly good size and serve fresh with a side of french fries. My wife's soup was served hot and was very flavorful. Next time I will replace my fries with the bowl of soup. And of course while you're waiting to be seated you are looking right at the desserts that they offer which are made daily and are absolutely amazing as well. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake. Service by John was amazing and quick. This restaurant is small but beautiful. They also offer patio seating that is completely enclosed so you are able to see a beautiful waterfall And if you're lucky a couple of colorful peacocks. They offer a fairly good size menu, surprised to see Mexican food on it but nonetheless the dinner menu looks amazing, the prices are much higher. $$$$ Will have to give them a try for dinner. Taggart's did not disappoint same with the view!
Quality and Flavor!!! If u r heading either way on I 84, make it a point to stop here! Although literally adjacent to the freeway both the indoor and enclosed patio seating was pleasant and snuggled up against the mountain and lower than the freeway. U barely even notice the freeway once u r there. The two peacocks strutting about add to the ambiance. I was there on a Sunday morning at about 11:30 am and even though the place was bumping, the server (John) approached the table within minutes, was knowledgeable about menu items and was a real plus to the entire experience. Adequately staffed - another plus! They pride themselves in homemade just about everything and source most foods locally. The taste and freshness was spot on! I had the chicken mushroom soup ($3.99 cup). It was delicious, creamy and lots of chicken. Followed by the smoked salmon salad ($17.99). The only thing I needed was a bit more feta crumbles, it was in the dressing which they make, but oddly they didn’t have any on the side. I’m not a big dressing fan so had to scoop the feta out of the dressing for my salad. That aside, it was a great salad! In my opinion, the food was reasonably priced compared to eating out in general these days. If u stick to your main meal - about $25 drinking just water. Deserts: They r known for their carrot cake ($8.99) and have a wonderful display as you walk in - I spent another $22 on the carrot cake, German chocolate cheesecake ($8.99) and a chocolate macaroon ($3.99) - to take home. All were very sweet and rich. The carrot cake was moist - I preferred it without the frosting, but I don’t like frosting in general. The cheesecake selection was huge - think “almost Cheesecake Factory” variety and all dolled up on top. So my German chocolate cheesecake was chocolate cheesecake with German chocolate frosting on top drizzled with more chocolate on a chocolate crust. Again, very sweet and rich - delicious no doubt but also too sweet for me - next time I’ll get a plain one - if u love cheesecake, u won’t b disappointed! The macaroon, hinging on the sweet side as well, next time I’ll get the plain. Lots of parking - but the sign about not parking on the county road is confusing - which one is the county road anyway??? For parties under 8 people can call ahead up to 30 min but won’t be seated u til everyone arrives. Only one toilet per gender - ladies, if they r busy u will likely have to wait. All in all - defiantly worth the stop, or even to go out of your way to eat here!
I really enjoyed the quaint location, it’s nestled in a little area right off the freeway which is as convenient. We had the Artichoke dip, with both chips as pita bread. The Pita Bread was better with it. It was good. I had the chicken enchilada and hubby had the garlic bleu burger. All of the was fresh, presentation was good. The chicken enchilada was average to me, best part was the tortilla and enchilada cheese the sauce. I tasted the burger and it was excellent as well as the fries. The server was ok, didn’t check on us much and we felt rushed by her which was kind of rude. It wasn’t that busy. Overall the food was very filling and I didn’t have room for dessert but they looked incredible.
A lovely place with a lovely atmosphere and delicious food. You can't ask for much better. This restaurant somehow feels far off the beaten path while being directly off the exit of a major interstate. It's nestled in the canyon like a hidden gem and it always feels that way because of how special you feel dining here. It's like high class dining for an affordable price.
The crown jewel here is anything with their house-made pita bread. My grandmother and I love to come here, and since her favorite meal is the fish and chips, we always get the artichoke dip with pita instead of chips so we can make sure she gets to still enjoy the bread.
If you haven't been here, I highly recommend you try!
I love this place. This was my third time eating there and it's always delicious. The atmosphere is always great and the service has been top notch every time. Took my son fishing on the river and surprised him with this stop. As soon as we walked in he knew why we were there. The display of cheesecakes put a huge grin on his face. We went outside to wait for our food and the peacocks came walking around the corner. Another big smile. Always worth the trip. Thanks everyone for another excellent experience.
I had lunch at Taggart’s and man this place is the bomb (just like their homemade pita bread ????????????)
I got their French Dip and honestly the pita bread made a huge difference, their fries are also really good and from what I heard from the people I went with every single thing on the menu is amazing from the BLT to the Salmon and Spinach Salad.
Their desserts are also great ! If you are ever in the area don’t hesitate to stop by or else you’ll sure be missing out !
