I use to love this place but i unfortunately have to stop ordering from here because there was once again something wrapped with my drink. One time there was a bug in the plastic wrap and i thought that maybe its just been a bad day. But this time a strand of hair was wrapped in it. Im starting to think its done purposely because i ordered late but if you all dont want people ordering late then disconnect the app at night. Its so sad that i have to give up my favorite restaurant for being unsanitary
Review from a native Mexican. Tacos el Tio has plenty of parking spaces and tables, ten tables for four people and two tables for eight people. After I arrived, the waitress took my order promptly at 1 PM. Only four customers occupied the tables. Christmas trees and ornaments are still on after the holiday is over.
The tacos took a while to arrive. They have good flavor, but the tortillas were not fresh, not handmade, and the onion and cilantro needed to be diced smaller. The waitress never came to ask if everything was ok, nor did she suggest dessert. Tacos El Tio is OK but nothing extraordinary, just mediocre.
My husband and I were looking forward to trying this place as we drove by it for years. We decided to try it. The restaurant has a funny unappealing smell you first walk in. We pushed through and placed our order. I ordered a Taco Grande home made tortilla was cold.
The server never stopped by to check on us to see if the food was ok. I’ve realized we aren’t missing out on a good meal. I will stick to just driving past it from now on.
Nice people good food the gentleman makes it right in front of the place you can even see him as he does it it’s a cool experience and the food is affordable and good give it a shot

At first I felt very welcomed and well greeted by staff than the order went well until my food arrived. I ordered the steak burrito extra meat there was completely a drizzle of steak and literally stuffed with cheese and beans so I ask if they can just add more meat I will pay extra the gave me a plate of meat on the side and said it will fall apart if they re do it lol so I said you think if I do it it won’t ???? I ask to just pack my food up and I was ready to go . Poor service definitely a rip off and burrito was 2/10 very salty.
Excellent food. I had 3 tacos al pastor. Very generous serving. Delicious. I also had flan napolitano for dessert. It was great. Will gladly come back again, and again, and again ????
Some of the best tacos de cabeza I've ever had at least anywhere around here in belmont cragin area better than Taconazo 100% and they are open 24/7..
Their horchata is top notch not too sugary and it's quite on point and the prices are good also can't complain. Their green avocado salsa was amazing also !
My family enjoyed it so definitely will come again. Overall experience with staff and food everything was outstanding !
