Best WLM Reviews
For a Mexican restaurant to be so close to Mexico, I had big expectations. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed and some of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. I do not recommend.
The waiter was nice, speedy, and the place was clean. The waiter recommended two of their best dishes and meat type, we ordered both dishes. Tacos trio and carnitas with rice and beans. Carnitas were super dry, beans had no flavor, and the rice was mush, like it had been reheated too many times or way overcooked. The carne asada tacos was actually pretty good, but the carnitas were extremely dry!
Unfortunately, the best part of our meals were the salsas, they had good flavor.
The food here is always fresh and delicious. I love the art and other items that are up for viewing and purchase all around the restaurant. The owner is incredible.
WOW — some of the most delicious and fresh Mexican food I’ve ever had! The Carnitas and shrimp tacos were incredible, salsa was perfection and the tortillas, rice beans were all so fresh, light and flavorful. Husband had a vegetarian burrito and loved it as well. Definitely eat here. Should be ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Fantastic little dive bar to grab a drink and some food if you’re on your way Rocky Point. The shrimp and red chili beef tacos were both delicious.
The owner complains to anyone who orders water that they are cheap. The chips are skimpy and over salted. The food is good but small servings compared to other similar restaurants. The setting in the Plaza of Ajo is great.
This is one on the only choices to eat dinner on the Ajo town square. My beer/mixed drink options were fine but my wife was unimpressed by the limited and weak wine selection. That seemed to annoy the bartender and when she switched her order to a martini, he basically said he did not to make her one. I guess you don’t want to annoy the bartender in these parts! We did some tacos to go and they were fine. My margarita was tasty and served in a big frosty cool looking “goblet”.

Nice, clean place. Staff was very nice. The food is excellent also! The only reason I didn't give it five stars is the menu is pretty limited and written on a wall. See photos. And yes, I would eat there again.
This is such a sweet southwestern neighborhood bar.
Sergio makes the best drinks and has such an amazing sense of humor. The margaritas are huge and tasty, they go down a little too easy! Definitely ask him for the secret Jarrito drink in a terracotta urn with taijin on the rim -- even though he won't reveal the secret formula and it's totally worth the experience!
I laughed so hard with all of locals, who were very friendly and fun to chat with. Don't come to Ajo without stopping by!
