-Tacos el Gordo is a small shack across the beach off of Ocean Front Walk.
-I recommend ordering their FISH TACOS.
-You get two of them for $10.99.
-They taste very, very good.
-They have the right crisp, the fish is moist & I really love their tartar sauce.
Overall, the service is very efficient & friendly.
No continuity between this Tacos El Gordo and the others. No adobada, completely different menu. Sauces are different and taco shells are different too. It’s a fine taco shack but if you are looking for the real Tacos El Gordo experience go to the other locations.
Not the best fish taco in San Diego as claimed. Not even the best fish taco in PB. Fish tasted as if it were microwaved
A nice taco shack down by the beach. This place was low-key but delicious. The fried fish tacos were pretty sharp and pretty simple, I think it was fish, cabbage, and tartar sauce. And the carne asada was really intense. Definitely worth $10 for a few tacos if you're near the beach.
Skip it and grab a burger up the beach. Carne asada tacos looked like tacos but it ends there. The meat was just funky and did not taste right. Too bad, I am always rooting for the small shops to present good food. Atleast decent food. Owner please reevaluate what you are serving.
I thought this was the real Tacos El Gordo, but it's not. Super dry, stale, poor quality meat. Lackluster tacos that went into the trash. I couldn't even bother to finish them. I was so excited I failed to check the reviews for this place ahead of time.
People who gave this anything less than 5 stars are fools. Absolute king of tacos. Best fish taco in San Diego is no hyperbole. Carne asada was also top notch.
Worst tacos I’ve had ever. Just plain vile. This place definitely has no association with the actual Tacos El Gordo brand. I got scammazed but hope no one else does. Like look at how bad these chicken tacos look
