Best WLM Reviews
35 for 6 tacos, and they look like this. The rude lady asked me if i wanted everything on it. I'm not sure what she meant by everything on it. More onion than meat? Plus, the meat is harder than a rock. They should just close up shop if this is what they are dishing out.
-Food, was sad and left so much to be desired. Would absolutely not recommend. We ordered for our family of six (as we were only passing through and hungry) and it was $87. I should have looked at the reviews. Way overpriced and 100% not worth it. I was hopeful but the whole family was disappointed, refused to finish, and threw out most. We ordered 2 quesadillas, one with pastor and the other with carne asada. Didn’t know they came with rice and beans otherwise I wouldn’t have ordered a side plate of rice. My son said he didn’t like the pastor and this is his favorite meat choice. He said it just tasted like chicken and was a bit salty. Both were greasy along with the rice. Plus the refried beans were so soupy that they spilled over onto some of the quesadillas. Bean flavor and rice flavor was off would have definitely skipped on both. Next item was a breakfast burrito with pastor. Hubby didn’t not like the beans either and said as far as taste it was lacking. He agreed the pastor seemed more like chicken. We also ordered a carne asada burrito and my daughter said she didn’t like it. The meat was without flavor and consistency, like eating boiled beef in a burrito if that makes sense. Just didn’t make the mark. Lastly, I ordered the carne asada torta. I was sure I couldn’t go wrong. Well. . . It was so very wrong! The bread was soggy from the soupy bean spread which somehow overpowered the tiny chopped carne asada (seriously, should have been called a bean torta. The lettuce was fine but could have used more tomato and guacamole if there was even any. All this food was made even worse by being served hot on styrofoam plates and to go boxes. Come on hot food on styrofoam is gross. The taste of melted styrofoam smell/flavor leaches into the food. ???? Pretty sure California has banned serving food in styrofoam and if it has not yet it should be entirely banned by the end of this or next month. Whatever the case with how overpriced the food is, if you can even call it that I should have safe packaging. The horchata was ok, definitely had worse. Pretty sure it was a base of water or water with a bit of milk. I agree with all the other reviews. This food truck is way overpriced, not worth it, and taking advantage of the truck drivers and people passing through. Do us all a favor and do better. Note, we stoped off at a food truck in Eureka on 4th st and it was sooo yummy and no where near as overpriced or greasy.
-Service: Both ladies did their job. No complaints here. Not super friendly but they didn’t need to be. Although, I really appreciate a friendly face, a welcoming attitude, maybe even a happy to have you feeling. ????
-Atmosphere, I mean it is a truck stop. At night I have to say it seemed way better than most truck stops and the food truck tried with a lit up sitting area but was much to cold to sit. Gas station seemed decent to include bathrooms.
At the end of the day. I would say stay clear and get something further up the road or just get some of the gas station food. Pretty sure you would appreciate that more.
Hidden Gem! This place is delicious and I come here about twice a week. They make everything good. Tacos, sopes, burritos, tortas. Everything is good. The salsa is also on point. Ladies there are very nice too.
As a truck driver I'm grateful these folks choose to park at the Pilot. They offer a wide variety of delicious options and are always so nice! My favorite things to order include their sopes, their tortas, and the breakfast plate with nopales. Their salsas are excellent as well. Finding good food at a truck stop is a rarity, but this truck delivers at this location!
Ladies were very nice and the asada tacos was good and flavorful. A lil pricey but I can tell the aguas fresca was either fresh or they do something different than other places.
How do none of yall know what a street taco looks like? You look dumb honestly.
Really good high quality food. Tastes like real food. Reasonable prices too, I payed $13 for a huge plate of nachos.
Food has good flavor but im sorry $14 for a basic breakfast burrito and $1 charge for credit cards way to take advantage of truck drivers for basic Mexican food
Good food and servicebut they really take advantage of drivers knowing there’s nothing else around… $16.25 for 1 burrito with cheese (including 1.00 atm fee) ????
