We've been coming to Tacos El Cachetón dos several years now on Thanksgiving day for a little pick me up before the big feast. I don't think I'll return, over the years the quality of the food has significantly gone down and the prices have gone up. Below I'll pay pictures of what I ordered and what I got.
This is a local taco spot that started out as a taco stand and now has several lunch trucks. The tacos are good, hands down. The meats are different than your average taco spot, as they carry labio and cabeza preparada al vapor. If have the asada it will not taste or look like your average asada because of the prep technique. The tacos are good and recommended. The quesadilla plate is a good choice as well and comes with rice, beans, and a curtido salad, plus the tortilla is thick and handmade. The mulita however was a letdown. Clearly made with a store bought tortilla, it was super tiny and extra dry. It lacked the consistency if their other menu items and just threw off the entire experience. If you are however, a fan of the rare meat options such as labio or cabeza, this is definitely a place to try out.
The place is called Churreria Victoriano. it's a place I believe owned by the taco stand and they make fresh churros, fresh mini pancakes and fresh fried Oreos. I got the churros for $8 I believe there was about nine churros. I took two toppings lechero and caramel. I must say it was off the hook I would highly recommend for you guys to go to this place
It’s 11:45p on a week night, for the ease of late night tacos off the street on my way home it’s convenient. The tacos were not the best, I’ve had much better tacos de cachete and cabeza. I also tried a bottled agua fresca de pepino con limón by “La Gotita” brand and it was not good, aguas frescas should never be carbonated. This was a one time try for me.
The world's most smallest and most expensive tacos, i wouldn't mind paying 5 dollars per taco.
But onestly, this is a rip-off. Dont waste your time and go somewhere else.
Great atmosphere if your looking for a drive bye ,besides that the tacos are fireeeee try the asada they wint dissapoint
I drive by this place every day to and from work. I finally had the opportunity to experience the food. I ordered 4 tacos de azada. Their is always a line of people waiting there. It is a very comfortable set up and the area is clean. I added lime and salsa to the tacos and tasted the meat. It is really good food. The tortilla is soft and warm. I enjoyed and will return next chance I get. They sell quesadillas of which I will devour next time.
The taco truck is parked right next to the gas station on the corner. They have a small string of benches to sit on with shading. This was my first time trying steamed meat tacos and they are amazing! I got the cabeza and asada. Other options are labio and cachete. The cabeza was amazing! I can’t stop thinking about it. Very soft and tender. The asada was saltier and had a more dense texture. I think they go well together. On the table they have, limes, cucumbers, spicy red salsa, mild green salsa and onions and cilantro. When I went it was $1.25 per taco. Next time I want to try the quesadilla and other meat choices.
TLDR: get the cabeza tacos!!!
